Note: Any prior rating results are based on the final nationals. Since the level of DVR penetration has increased from 20 percent at this same point last year to approximately 28 percent at present, the overall results may be negatively impacted.

-Ratings Breakdown: NBC was the most-watched network and highest rated among adults 18-49 on this last Saturday in May. But what can you say when the No. 1 network averages under 5-million viewers and a 1.7 rating in the demo? Not much, obviously. On that note, The Stanley Cups Finals on NBC, which never generates much interest, averaged 4.51 million viewers and a 1.7 rating/6 share among adults 18-49 from 8-11 p.m. Here is the half-hour breakdown:
The Stanley Cups Finals (NBC) 8:00 p.m. – Viewers: 3.88 million (#1), A18-49: 1.4/ 6 (#1) 8:30 p.m. – Viewers: 4.46 million (#1), A18-49: 1.8/ 7 (#1) 9:00 p.m. – Viewers: 4.67 million (#1), A18-49: 1.9/ 7 (#1) 9:30 p.m. – Viewers: 4.94 million (#1), A18-49: 1.9/ 7 (#1) 10:00 p.m. – Viewers: 4.62 million (#2), A18-49: 1.8/ 6 (#1) 10:30 p.m. – Viewers: 4.47 million (#2), A18-49: 1.7/ 6 (#1)
CBS finished second overall in total viewers and third among adults 18-49 with its combination of a repeat of Numbers (Viewers: #2, 3.51 million; A18-49: #4, 0.6/ 2), another burn-off installment of Harper’s Island (Viewers: #3, 3.85 million; A18-49: #3, 0.9/ 3), and a repeat of 48 Hours Mystery (Viewers: #1, 5.95 million; A18-49: #2, 1.2/ 4).
Over at ABC, the return of the critically acclaimed Pushing Daisies was almost off the charts, with a mere (and last-place) 2.35 million viewers and a 0.7/ 3 among adults 18-49 at 10 p.m. Earlier in the evening on ABC were repeats of Wipeout (Viewers: #4, 3.23 million; A18-49: #3, 1.0/ 4) and Here Come the Newlyweds (Viewers: #4, 2.23 million; A18-49: #4, 0.8/ 3) from 8-10 p.m.
Capping off the evening was Fox’s perennial combination of Cops (repeat and original – Viewers: #3, avg. 3.47 million; A18-49: #2, avg. 1.1/ 5 from 8-9 p.m.) and America’s Most Wanted (Viewers: #2, 4.63 million; A18-49: #2, 1.3/ 5).
Britains Got Talent Performance Show - 15.3M - It peacked at 18M for Susan Boyle's performance.
Britains Got Talent Final Result - 17.33M - Peaking at 19.1M for the winners announcal. This is the highest EVER peak for a reality show in the UK.
Robin Hood - 1.9M - Took a hit against BGT but the ratings have been unacceptable all series, I expect a cancellation announcement.
Everything else took hits against the steamroller that is BGT. The voting figures are expected to leak this week so I will be able to tell you by how much Diversity edged Susan.
At least Harper's Island did better than fellow burnoff Pushing Daisies. We finally learned about how and why Wakefield killed everyone on the island the first time, as it was another good episode of Harper's Island.
BTW, CBS will be airing a 2 hour finale of it on July 11, 9-11pm.

It was great to have Pushing Daisies back again...and jam packed with guest stars as well. David Arquette, Richard Benjamin, and George Segal among others really added to the fun of this episode.
Originally posted by SteveLepore: Regardless, this is still easily the highest rated Game 1 of the SCF in at least 7 years, as it's been relegated to ESPN/VERSUS since 2000.
If the Stanley Cup goes to seven games, NBC may have a reliable June pinchhitter series like CBS has with the March Madness.
Sad to see so few come back to the wonderful 'Pushing Daisies', however, ABC barely promoted its return.
ABC's late, great 'Pushing Daisies' is back for a summer run, Saturdays at 10 pm across the ABC Television Network
The Pushing Daisies finale isn't all that great, the ending is so rushed (Obviously due to the short notice cancellation), but still it provides closure. I loved the Eli Stone finale though, that show was a favourite of mine.
Over at ABC, the return of the critically acclaimed Pushing Daisies was almost off the charts, with a mere (and last-place) 2.35 million viewers and a 0.7/ 3 among adults 18-49 at 10 p.m.
It's sad to see this great show treated like this. Only two episodes left.

Harper's Island is getting so interesting! Everything is finally coming together. Next week's episode will be another great one.

For such lower viewership, the demo isnt all that bad. Plus with this being more of a Canadian sport, the ratings arent all that bad. I would call it a winning performance for only game one.

Hockey is huge in Detroit, considering it's just about the only sport we're good in. Go Red Wings!

While its good Detriot can finally be happy about something, I'd rather have the Pens win. It's time for some revenge! GO PENS!

Two weeks in a row the Indianapolis CBS affiliate WISH-TV pre-empted Harper's Island. Last night it was due to severe weather coverage. It will be re-broadcast early Monday morning at 1:30am.
