As a New Yorker, I didn't like the ending. And Pattinson isn't very good. He can't not be Edward Cullen.

Losing John Ritter was tough but 8 Simple Rules definitely still had gas left in the tank without him. David Spade and James Garner helped keep things going and the move to Friday hurt that more than anything.

Agreed. I loved 8 Simple Rules, and still watch it on DVD and on ABC Family, currently. It was still a good show after John Ritter's death, but from a ratings standpoint it was not there anymore. People watched The Goodbye episode and a few episodes after that, and decided the show was not good anymore and stopped watching. I really wish people had given it more of a chance, because it did find itself again, and was good, but it needed time to find its voice again.

Thought about that myself. To me, it really comes down to whether they want to try to do something constructive with 10pm. They may figure that TAR's numbers cannot be substantially budged after all these years, whereas UB might be able to help launch a new show or at least something not as dried up as Cold Case.

One thing CBS should do is try Miami Medical or anything that is still viable and could be plausibily moved next season to see how much life the 10pm hour has. Cold Case is not a good measuring stick of this. Wny not a test run so they know going in before they sked next season?

Wasn't the difference between these two in the demo, over a 1 last week, wow that difference diminshed much faster than I expected. Does not look like Boss will even live to finish next season.

I'm guessing the two week break, and Celebrity Apprentice hurt Undercover Boss.

That and I still don't see this as a sustainable series. The concept, while intriguing, is not something a lot of companies will want their business associated with if its a negative outcome. It will remain competitive, if not on top for this season. By the end of next year it will be a different story with the show perhaps even being on the bubble.

LINK: 'Winning Time' scores in ratings

quote:
"Winning Time," Dan Klores' documentary for ESPN about Reggie Miller's rivalry with the Knicks in the mid-1990s, averaged 1.7 percent of homes in the New York area Sunday night.

That's pretty good for a [documentary].

And considerably better than the 1.0 the 2009-10 Knicks are averaging for their games.
