Part 2: Reality Bites

Tons of reality shows, supporting actors and finales make up the second half of the 2nd Annual Lemon Awards, celebrating the worst in television for the 2007-08 season.

CBS received a whopping 39 nominations (thanks, CSI: Miami, Big Brother and Viva Laughlin!) in Lemons Part 2. NBC and ABC each captured 24 nods. FOX had 14 and cable network MTV had 10.

The majority of nominations were determined by a compilation of suggestions by this forum's members since March 24, 2008.

All PIFeedback.com forum members can vote in the following categories. Please feel free to state your vote, in detail, in this thread, as well as promote which nominees forum members should place their votes.

The "winners" for Part 2 were announced on July 19, 2008 3:00pm ET.

Worst Reality/Game Show: Next Great American Band - just because you put 'American' in the title does not mean you are a hit - 'Next Great American Flop' would have been a better title.

Worst Reality/Game Show Contestant/Participant: Caitlin "Miss South Carolina Teen USA" Upton - If her acceptance speech for the Lemmy is anything like this, it will be an award well earned.

Worst Reality/Game Show Host/Personality: Paula Abdul (American Idol) - Was that one song or two?

Worst Supporting Actor in a Drama: Adam Rodriguez (CSI: Miami) - How many times can this guy "almost" get killed off?

Worst Supporting Actor in a Comedy/Musical: David Spade (Rules of Engagement) - When does the rest of the world get to see those videos you were holding Heather Locklear hostage with?

Worst Supporting Actress in a Drama: Khandi Alexander (CSI: Miami) - Now that she is no longer on the show, she can find a place for those seven layers of makeup in a place more suitable.

Worst Supporting Actress in a Comedy/Musical: Melanie Griffith (Viva Laughlin) - She still takes home the prize...."One Way or Another!"

Worst TV couple: Melanie Griffith's upper lip and Melanie Griffith's lower lip (Viva Laughlin) - As bad as her acting is, her singing is ten times worse.

Worst Guest Actor in a Comedy/Musical/Drama/Reality Show: Terrell Owens (Under One Roof) - OK, I confess, I didn't waste 30 minutes and watch this, but T.O. deserves some sort of an award for this performance.

Worst Guest Actress in a Comedy/Musical/Drama/Reality Show: Jenny McCarthy (Two and a Half Men) - With Charlie Harper you really are just another woman. And thank goodness for that.

Worst Season or Series Finale: Girlfriends (CW) - A show that lasts 8 seasons deserves some sort of sendoff. Give this award to the CW.

Worst President of TV Network Entertainment: Dawn Ostroff (CW)- Duh.

Mr. Packer, you don't have to fill up every silent moment with your so-called know-it-all information. And no, saying that players "should" and "shouldn't" do minute things on the court does NOT count as analysis.

Posing with your daughter in suggestive ways in 'Vanity Fair' magazine still doesn't sit right with me.

Worst Supporting Actress in a Drama: Lindsay Price, Lipstick Jungle (NBC)
A long history of 'acting' since her '90210' days.

Worst Supporting Actress in a Comedy/Musical: Brooke Burns, Miss/Guided (ABC)
I wished the best show of Brooke's career, 'Dog Eat Dog', returned to TV with new episodes instead of the countless repeats on GSN.

Worst TV couple: Melanie Griffith's upper lip and Melanie Griffith's lower lip, Viva Laughlin (CBS)
Not only responsible for her singing but also looked "enhanced".

Worst Guest Actor in a Comedy/Musical/Drama/Reality Show: James Van Der Beek, How I Met Your Mother (CBS)
Dawson Leary basically guest starred in one of the worst 'Criminal Minds' episodes yet after Super Bowl XLI in 2007 and nearly ruined one of my current favorite sitcoms with his wooden performance.

Worst Guest Actress in a Comedy/Musical/Drama/Reality Show: Britney Spears, 2007 MTV Video Music Awards (MTV)
Miss Spears seems to be getting better, including a good guest turn on HIMYM, but she basically sleptwalked through her "Gimme More" routine in September 2007.

Worst Season or Series Finale: The Sopranos (HBO)
I believe it to be the most overrated series finale in the history of television.

Worst President of TV Network Entertainment: Ben Silverman (NBC)
His television productions, such as 'The Office' and 'Biggest Loser', are some of my favorites. Yet, NBC's other offerings have little to be desired.

Good news! The nominations for "that other television awards show" will be announced on July 17. Therefore, the deadline for the Lemons will be extended one more week to July 18.
