I thought the other lead looked a bit better. Perhaps zap2it could find us a better pic for next time. I doubt however, it will keep Reaper from becoming a hit or becoming a flop.

This is based upon your excellent memory? Seriously, how can you even tell which one is which?

old

new

Hopefully, it is a sign that they wanted an actress with more physical (action sequence)ability. They got that. In addition, they got a bit more TV experience. It should be a positive for the show.

That nose. I'm picky with my noses. Wink
I don't think it helps or hurts the show. What will hurt it most is the competition in the hour and the fact that Chuck is airing there too.

They (almost) look exactly alike. I'll take door #2, though. Wink

Chuck looks really bad, but then again I never found 'Jake 2.0' or 'Seven Days' to be all that thrilling, either.

See I actually never got UPN, but Enterprise was in a constant bidding war for latenight Saturday and Sunday on the local affiliates with the local CBS usually winning. I believe they made some deal to take another UPN show as well so they usually won, meaning Jake 2.0 came along with it. I watched a few eps and kind of liked it, but by February it was gone. That is also how I saw season one of VM during one summer, although we probably only saw about 1/2 the episodes because not all were shown and Chiefs exhibition football tended to cut out time for VM (not that I blamed the affiliate). We also got All of Us, Everybody Hates Chris, and Smackdown eps over the years.

This would explain your belief that WB had better shows. You had no UPN affiliate so you never got the chance to know UPN.

Not true. As I mentioned above, I did see several UPN shows over the years. The affiliates would only take the ones that would even get sampling in our area. I'm still saying the WB was the better network. Perhaps you forgot the season (I believe it was like 2000) when they had Gilmore Girls, Popular, 7th Heaven, Angel, Buffy, Dawson's Creek, Charmed, Roswell, Felicity, Jack and Jill, The PJs, For Your Love, Gross Pointe, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Steve Harvey, Jamie Foxx, and Zoe Duncan Jack and Jane. Name one season in which UPN has that many programs that were popular or buzzworthy.

Out of that entire list, Angel and Buffy are the only good shows. Most of the rest is that childish teen soap stuff that WB shoveled out to great excess.

Gilmore Girls - I do recall TV Guide saying to record Friends and watch Gilmore Girls.

Popular - It was okay, a little on the outrageous side.

7th Heaven - Yeah, to date, no CW has even come close to some of the ratings records 7th Heaven set on the WB.

Angel / Buffy - Those were cult shows with pretty good ratings and while Angel was almost canceled a few times before it stuck, Buffy did succeed at becoming an icon.

Dawson's Creek - Yup. That's pretty much the first show you think of when you mention The WB and is a teen soap staple.

Charmed - Aaron Spelling didn't loose his magic and it did great in the Thursday night slot and pretty much kept a pulse on the WB Sundays.

Roswell - It's amazing the WB had that policy of canceling any show under 3 million, but the generated a lot of buzz with their Tabasco bottles.

Felicity - I remember how critics fawned all over like they did for Veronica Mars and how nuts people when over a haircut.

Jack and Jill, The PJs, For Your Love, Gross Pointe - I don't really recall.

Steve Harvey & Jamie Foxx - I knew did very well with black audiences and was family friendly.

and the only think I know about Zoe Duncan Jack and Jane is that it had Selma Blair.
