And Reaper for mid-season. I have read that Smallville is only 13 episodes next season, while Reaper will move into its place at 8pm after SV has finished its run. Now, I do not know how true that is, but it will be interesting.

Peace!!

Thursdays just seem out of place now with the rest of the network devoted to targeting teen girls.

Couldn't they have picked up Austin Golden Hour or something else? And what about Wednesdays and the 2nd Friday hour come mid-season? What are they going to air there? And if they surrendered 3 hours of programing, did they still have to include a Top Model encore.

Grrrr!

Me thinks Reaper will fill Wednesdays when Top Model goes on hiatus and I assume some other reality trash will accompany it with the reality getting the Friday night encore. I totally agree about the unnecessary Friday encores. Why couldn't Stylista go there and Austin Golden Hour air on Wednesdays?

More on Filthy Rich Girls which is starting to sound like Gossip Girl on crack:

9:00-10:00 P.M. "SURVIVING THE FILTHY RICH" (New Series)

Twenty-three-year-old Megan Smith (JoAnna Garcia, "Reba") has a Yale education, a relentlessly positive attitude and a plan to conquer the world of journalism, despite the fact that she is currently slaving away at a tabloid rag. Megan's plan is thrown off course when, in one whirlwind day, she gets fired, meets cosmetics mogul Laurel Limoges (casting TBD) and becomes the live-in tutor for Laurel's twin teen granddaughters in the heady Palm Beach world of wealth and power. The girls, Rose (Lucy Kate Hale, "Bionic Woman") and Sage (Ashley Newbrough, "The Best Years"), are beautiful, rebellious and less-than-thrilled with their new tutor, but Megan is determined to win them over as she enjoys the perks of her new job - breathtaking private suite, gorgeous convertible and live-in chef Marco (Allan Louis, "Stomp the Yard"). Even the neighbors are fabulous in Palm Beach, and Megan quickly catches the eye of Will (casting TBD), the wealthy and extremely hot dilettante who lives on the estate next door and just happens to be dating Megan's estranged sister Lily (casting TBD). Completing this romantic quadrangle is Megan's best friend Charlie (Michael Cassidy, "Smallville," "The O.C."), who is secretly in love with her. Despite her own complicated romantic and family relationships, Megan is committed to making a difference in the lives of her two headstrong charges as she navigates the treacherous waters of high society in Palm Beach. SURVIVING THE FILTHY RICH is based on the Alloy Entertainment book "How To Teach Filthy Rich Girls" by best-selling author Zoey Dean ("The A-List"). The series is from Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. Television and CBS Paramount Network Television with executive producers Rina Mimoun ("Gilmore Girls," "Everwood"), Bob Levy ("Gossip Girl") and Leslie Morgenstein ("Gossip Girl," "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants"). Michael Engler ("30 Rock") directed the pilot.

Is Reaper the only midseason show? What is going to fill Wednesday nights once ANTM is in between cycles and the other new Wed Night show and on Fridays @ 9? Plus, there is the potential that one of these new shows will bomb majorly bad like LiW did. They should really consider p/u on Moonlight or October Road and put them on for midseason. That way it will fill all the wholes and they won't have to put on a lot of repeats or crapy new reality programs, which didn't work for them this past yr. Plus, it would make a lot of diehard fans of this two shows maybe tune in to some of the new CW offerings. I thought at least they would bring Beauty and the Geek for midseason. That is a little bit of a shocker.

I wouldn't count either of these two as cancelled just yet. Farmer has only aired 2 episodes and they have performed above the CW average. That show may well come back as filler (between ANTM seasons or in the summer) next year.

Like all the other networks, they are announcing a 'starting lineup', not a complete list of everything they plan to air next year. Only NBC is pretending that they don't have any other projects in the works. No doubt, CW will have some more reality shows to add as filler if something really crashes, and for between ANTM seasons...and saved for next summer if everything magically goes as well as they hope. They have also stated that they plan to look at picking up an additional sitcom project by late this summer (after the pilot development catches up from the WGA strike delays).

I would think B&tG would be more likely at returning eventually than Pussy Catt Dolls.

I'm sure we'll get more reality junk/filler, but honestly, I'd be surprised if we get any more comedies.

Austin Golden Hour just finished its 20 minute pilot presentation. Now it all depends on whether the focus groups and the CW like what they see. More likely than not, if they do, it will come in a midseason.

And The CW has said they will continue to develop year round at this point, that they do plan to add more product after the upfront. So while the pickins' may be slim at this point, they could add a couple of shows before we hit November.
