I think keeping either the WB or UPN name would have been better. It might seem like a take over, but the both spend about 10 years establishing the old names, the new name puts them back at square one.The chartreuse green and the Free to Be campaign got people talking, but not in a good way.

Flat out canceling Everwood was a bad idea. A 13, 9, 8, or even 6 episode order would have appeased fans and critics and given them an insurance policy should a drama fail.

Picking up Aquaman would have been a good move. It'd have fans from the comic, it was a multi-ethnic ensemble show, and it had a lot of buzz.

Putting Reba on after Chris could have helped a lot. Reba was a hit, but it's demographic wasn't quite what the CW was looking for. After Chris, it could have gotten the new, younger desired viewers. Putting on the low low low rated All of Us on after it simply because of the Will Smith name and one of the actors relation to Chris Rock was foolish.

Not picking up 7th Heaven would have been great. 7th Heaven was the WB's signature show, creatively it was running on low to empty, and they spent months promoting the final as final episode ever. If they wanted an Aaron Spelling show, Split Decision was available.

Pay a little extra to keep all the cast members of Girlfriends. Jill Jones, the one who left, could have been kept on for about 2/3rds of the season and the series finale.

Pick up Nick Lachey's comedy. Even if it's aweful, you've got a big name, and you'll get the fan girls eyes and TV Guide and tabloids talking your network for a few weeks. Plus, you might be able to get fellow Viacom owned MTV to encore this show for you.

Promote your shows equally. Don't you think it's strange that your highest rated show is the only one with a billboard? Top Model is already a hit. Billboards can be cut in half so One Tree Hill, Smallville, or Gilmore Girls could be promoted too.

Save the reality encores as a last result. That hour could have been used for original programming. Those reality encores could be used for Saturday night or the easyview block.

How about getting rid of that stupid, only certain demos are required idea and open the station to more adult areas?

I agree 7th H should have been retired, and Everwood should have been kept. VM should have gone and maybe Acquaman, though I heard the reviews weren't that good, could have been tried. Should have moved SN to another night as soon as they heard GA was moving to Thursday nights. should have kept Reba, it was bringing in the ratings.

The CW has to get out of the mindset that it's the teeny bopper station because that will certainly kill it.

Give some new pilots a try instead of trying to make room for old, failing shows in the hope that it's gonna get better.

More equal advertising and heck, fire the advertising and marketing people and hire somebody capable.
Use whatever brain cells they have left, which, right now, don't seem to be too many. :/

I agree with you both on everything and the Aquaman thing with hermitme. I saw a preview and it looked great, but didn't get great reviews. And everything else you both said was great.
