Does wrestling have reruns? How do they decide on a premiere?

No, every Friday is a new match/event.

I believe they just set a date to show the end of one season and the start of the next.

I think, IIRC, that COPS and AMW are done the same way. Year round programming.

Indeed correct. So if the season premiere is on September 21st, the summer "season finale" is on September 14th.

Is the SMALLVILLE going to be 2 hours long since SN doesn't premiere until the following week?

If the CW was wise they would've premiered the Monday comedy block and the Sunday night stuff early. Now the other networks will have launched their stuff, which will make it harder for people to catch the CW's premieres if they are already hooked on something else. Dumb move.

I agree mushu, it's really poor decision making on the network's part to debut their shows at the same time or even after the other networks do. They would have gotten much more sampling if they'd gotten a bit of a head start.

They could have at least started the comedies on time instead of a week late. There realy isn't much unity in the premiere dates. Some are early and some are late. But poor decision making here is no surprise.

Does 'Premiere week' starts on a Sunday like the calender, Monday like the work week, or on a Thursday like other TV timetables (such as sweeps periods)?

Neilsen has dubbed Monday, September 24th as the "official" start of the fall season. But they do try to make it as confusing as possible.

Wink

I think it is Monday September 24th that is the first day of the new season.

That means the 2006-07 season will have had 53 weeks in total.

Does the CW rating HAVE to go up in order for the NET to stat showing success?

I would think any thing flat or down, shows this network may be on life support, waiting to die.
