Here is an idea for the CW, Move EH Chris and Alien Nation to Wednesdays at 9 & 9:30. Place original GG on Sundays at 9pm and place encores of ANTM on Mondays.
That would improve Wednesday, but Monday would suffer and Sunday at 9pm isn't right for Gossip. Sure Desperate Housewives is losing viewers, but remember what happened when FOX put The OC against Grey's Anatomy? I like Jonathan's suggestion of Gossip at 8pm on Tuesday.

I agree on the first part, but I'm not sure about the second part. The CW is going to be way more patient with this than they were with Runaway.

I think Tuesday at 8 leading into One Tree Hill is good, but the move would have to come quick. Perhaps move B&tG back an hour and try Reaper on Wednesdays? I just wouldn't want them to compromise Reaper in the process. Another option would be Smallville repeats into Reaper and Supernatural on Sunday with GG/OTH Tuesdays, an all reality Wednesday, and Smallville/Life is Wild Thursday. The only reason I thought Life is Wild on Thursday is because Everwood worked there once (second best show to ever air there for the WB behind Charmed).

That sounds like a good idea. One Tree Hill thrived on Tuesdays before and Supernatural did well in that Sunday slot when it followed Charmed. Life is Wild is totally different than anything else that is airing on Thursdays with a good lead in like Smallville in theory, it could survive. The problem is getting the CW to see the error of their ways. Their precious Top Model reality encore can stand by as a back up or air at 4pm or 5pm on Saturdays.

That could also happen on Sundays too. quote: Originally posted by Jonathan: quote: Originally posted by mushu_jj: I think Tuesday at 8 leading into One Tree Hill is good, but the move would have to come quick. You really have to give it two to three more weeks before really making any call on it. Get past all the premiers and double length specials, and then see what it is doing. While I believe in fictiony type programming on Sunday like the WB had in the past where Reaper and Supernatual could hang together, I think at this point it would turn the CW on their head even more. Sunday is a dead day for them, moving anything into that day now will kill the show. So really they have to move Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday around. I posted this in another thread somewhere, but the midseason rejigger I envision is... Tuesdays - Gossip Girl, Supernatural Wednesdays - ANTM, One Tree Hill Thursdays - Smallville, Reaper But also as I said before, doing anything now would be dern foolish. Don't touch anything. And while I applaud the commitment to diverse programming on Monday, I think they could go with Everybody Hates Chris, Aliens in America and Life is Wild and be successful with it. There is no real reason why it has to be four sitcoms that night. And I do believe that unless it sinks below 2 million, that GG is here to stay for the season.

Same here, I'm forcing myself to like it. The characters, acting, writing is quite dull and trite. It's just not that compelling, it's mediocre.
