Thanks Taylor!
I think that AIA could be CW's #1 comedy

The review didn't say one way or the other--is "Aliens" one-camera or multi-camera? The promo looks like it's one-camera but there's a laugh track. If it's a one-camera show, why the laugh track? Is The CW afraid that people won't realize that it's a sitcom?

That is often the reason for adding the laugh track. I think I read somewhere this is a single-camera comedy. Often times when the laugh track is added to single-cams the result is bizarre.

I'm not sure why they use a laugh track on the commercials, but from what I've seen they don't use it in the show.

Something I've noted with The CW--they slap a laugh track on some "Chris" promos, even though it's one-camera. Generally, it's the promos for the entire night and I guess they think that viewers are gonna go "wha?" if the "Chris" clip doesn't have canned laughs while the rest do. (NBC used to do that when "Scrubs" was surrounded by multi-cam shows on happier Thursday nights, although it seems to me that they put the canned laughter on the peacock animation separating the clips.)

In the case of "Aliens," though, it's not being promoed with anything else--and I think they've also added canned cheers and whoops to the tag. I know that Les doesn't like one-camera shows to begin with, but since laugh tracks on one-camera shows went out with "The Love Boat," I find it weird.

Hell on Earth sounds like it could have worked on Sundays after CWNow and before Life is Wild. I thin online nation is doomed for failure since it's going up against America's Funniest Home Videos, the show clone, Vh1's WebJunk, that it was cloned from.
