Wild at Heart picked up to series.

that makes three dramas so far for CW (if you consider the go-ahead to make writer/producer offers a pick-up) in W@H, Reaper, and Gossip Girl.

Aliens in America supposedly picked up to series (blech) on the comedy side.

Considering, without a VM cancellation (an the mood at the VM office is pretty grim as of yesterday) or dropping any of the Monday comedies, CW has to cover 4 hours of programming (Sunday from 7-10pm, Tuesday from 8-9pm) and have midseason programming waiting "in case" anything fails... 3 dramas, a couple reality shows, and one comedy isn't enough.

Travis, what do you think the chances of VM being picked-up are? Have you heard any rumors about the cast being flown out or anything? Do you think we'll know before the upfronts, or will they wait until tonight's ratings come in?

I think they're just going to have an hour of ANTM repeats on Sundays. Keep Barnes and Eight Days a Week for midseason, and that will be it. They say pilot season was weak.

But given that Dawn Ostroff is running the network Spellbound probably was the second coming of Bewitched.

What about the rumor that Jericho will be moved to The CW to air in the fall and repeat in the following summer??

haven't heard that rumor... jericho would be waaaaaay too expensive for CW, especially considering it doesn't do better than Top Model in the demo.

FYI - returning show pick-ups so far from today are OTH, SPN, and SV.

Did these shows get 22 episode orders? Also, Do you know if there is any truth to the rumor that Supernatural and Reaper will be sharing a timeslot?

scheduling won't be announced until thursday morning. but, yes, all three returning shows got 22 episode pick-ups. new shows typically get 13 episode pick-ups, and if they do well, the "back 9" are ordered.

I could be wrong, but to me if there are so many holes to fill in the schedule, why would they have Superanatural and The Reaper sharing the same timeslot? That just makes no sense to me.

Peace!!

It doesn't make any sense to me either, but people keep posting schedules and saying they may share the Thursday timeslot. I just figured I would check with an insider.

Oh no...I totally understand that. I just hope that they don't share the same timeslot because, no offense, I just do not see The Reaper taking off at all. I think that is all just a bit confusing at the moment. Big Grin

Peace!!

Girlfriends and The Game will both be polluting the network back next season. Marc will be so pleased!

And Girlfriends and the Game have always done much better than EHC in the CW's target demographic. Plus, these shows are very popular with African-American audiences.

If you take SPN for 22 episodes and Reaper for even just 13, that's 35 weeks of original programming. That's the entire TV season. If they pick up the back 9 on Reaper, they have nowhere to stick them. I honestly don't think they're going to make the shows share a timeslot - Pilot Buzz Central didn't say Supernatural & Reaper, it said Supernatural/Reaper - meaning they weren't yet sure which show was getting the slot. Presumably.
