Leo Daniels is a regular extra, has worked on staff for OTH/fincannon, is the producer of the Bevin Prince movie "The Artifact". So I don't know what this does but it's a good sign since he ALWAYS knows when shooting is before anyone else!

What is the deal with CW and 4 years> VM=4 years in the future.

If VM is renewed, current buzz now is that it would be renewed in it's college years format, not the FBI format.

I don't think One Tree Hill's producer pitched a college format since it was obvious the main characters were all going to different colleges, etc.

Given the gaps on the CW schedule, I'd be really surprised if OTH wasn't renewed.

It's been all over the net saying the series will fast foward 5 years, including reliable sites, so I would not be surprised if it did.

If so, why not combine One Tree Hill and Veronica Mars?

One Tree Hill is coming back for sure. If it does not, then the CW must really love their development slate.

OTHs creator came up with that idea over 1 year ago.

And Rob has always wanted to see V in the FBI somewhere down the line since the second season I think. And the FBI story has been woven throughout this season since the beginning. It's not some new concept he just thought of.

And he actually pitched two options, FBI and continuing the college years which I think he prefers. It wasn't about stealing anyone's thunder as some of the OTH fans would like to think. He just wanted to present the network with more than one option.
