Tomorrow is the season finale of One Tree Hill, not a repeat. The CW can't even keep track of its own shows? LOL!

If those Reba Repeats still get 2.5 million viewers I will laugh at the CW.

thefutoncritic is the one that cannot keep track of the shows, not the CW.

I am surprised that they are bringing Reba back. They seemed set on losing more money just to make sure that the Reba producers didn't get 'something'.

Never fear, if Reba doesn't get 2.5million and 7th Heaven doesn't get back over 3million the CW detractors will merely claim that the shows' ratings were destroyed by scheduling changes.

I just laugh at how you are a consistent poster here, who has the potential to offer some really insightful words, yet can't seem (or doesn't want) to acknowledge how scheduling changes and poor advertisement REALLY DID kill the ratings for CW shows like 7th Heaven. Just because you're tired of hearing people comment about an issue like this doesn't mean it's an invalid statement.

Agreed, mrpotato.

While, yes, hearing about the CW's scheduling problems is redundant, anyone who can't seem to realize that moving to Sunday did ruin 7th Heaven's potential at doing well in its 11th season is naive. With 7th Heaven and Reba, CW could've had a rock solid Monday night lineup...yet it got stuck with the embarassing 2.5-3 million Monday numbers from the comedy block, instead.

I, myself, like to laugh at the people here who make fun those that make "claims" about the scheduling changes, yet still say the Monday comedies are "holding up well". Big Grin

Whatever lies make us happy, I guess some need to believe them! Wink

Obveeus, remind me again what overall ranking 'Reba' had this season among the CW sitcoms?

Sure, 7th Heavren would have held its numbers all season long if only it hadn't moved to Sunday. Nevermind that almost every single show on television lost viewers through the spring, somehow 7th Heaven would have been able to buck that trend if only it was on Monday instead of Sunday. Keep telling yourself that. Keep blaming the declining ratings on some magical Sunday artifact that somehow would not have occurred if the show was airing on Monday instead.

...and don't forget to tell yourself that the extra million viewers it might have maintained on Monday rather than Sunday would have somehow resulted in 7th Heaven being renewed for 2007-2008 despite the fact that the renewal for the 2006-2007 season was most definitely a one-off renewal.

I'm surprised that you aren't coming up with some sort of product you can send to CW headquarters in protest of cancellation. Demand renewal, send Milkyway bars to Dawn! Wink

How is that relevent to the subject? The CW wanted Reba gone which is why they cancelled it and pulled it from the air rather than showing the reruns in the first place. You probably need to go back and re-read the comment you responded to. Your reply suggests that you misinterpreted what was written.

Reba's financial burdens were never specficially disclosed. No one in the general public knows for sure how much (or if any) money was lost this season. It's originals AND repeats were not low-rated. And I made this commment due to your constant statements that the Monday comedies are "holding up".

Still...I asked a question above, and didn't get an answer.

You still can't come to grips that CANCELLATION + NIGHT CHANGE = lower ratings? I really do take your other opinions about TV seriously, but not being to realize this worries me. But if you're just saying this out of distaste for 7th Heaven then I'll feel better.

The general consensus is around 2 million extra. When next-to-no one knew the show had returned it still pulled 4.3 million on Monday.

I'm DYING to read where the CW confirmed this was a one-season and only-one-season renewal. Be sure to post the information!

I think you've confused the friendly 7th Heaven fans with the god-awefully annoying Veronica Mars fans.

In the world of debating, Obveeus, telling someone (multiple times, I might add) that they misinterpreted a post is one of the most amateur responses someone can give.

But I'll join you and take the low road...sounds like you didn't understand MrPotato's comment yourself. I'm willing to bet he asked the question about Reba's ranking because you keep whining about its fan base (and, off topic, but 7th Heaven's as well) commenting on ratings declines. Why would you do that? Reba fans are next-to-silent. Attacking the silent and helpless is also a low blow. The VM forum is where the critiquing should occur. Do you have a grudge against Reba and 7th Heaven?

Why do you need an answer to a pointless question? Reba was not cancelled because of ratings. Reba was cancelled because the CW never wanted to air it in the first place, but was forced to because of a bad contract written by the people that ran WB.

I don't care one lick about 7th Heaven one way or the other. I do know the show was cancelled by the WB. I do know the show had a series finale because it was not designed to return. I do know that when it was uncancelled by the CW because they needed something to temporarily fill out their schedule, the 'big stars' had already left for greener pastures. How is it that you ignore these things? How is it that you (and seemingly you alone) believe that 7th heaven had a good shot at multiple seasons going forward? 7th Heaven's renewal was a stop gap decision, nothing more.

What 'general concensus' is that; people that watched 7th Heaven and thought everyone else would continue to watch the show after the series finale too, if only they knew it was still on the air?

Maybe it has to do with the the similar level of denial they exibit?
