So much for the CW doing something smart like a Green Arrow series.....

Who is Lucy Hale? That name sounds so familar. Glad to see Joanna Garcia is finding roles after Reba, she was great on that show.

Lucy Hale was on Bionic Woman. The whole cast was terrible, so I don't expect her to me much better here. The more I read about the plot line for How To Teach Filthy Rich Girls, the more it sounds like a Gossip Girl rip off.

Justin Hartley can do better than the terrible, cliche Austin Golden Hour (CW change that show's title, it's horrible). Austin Golden Hour is sure to be at most a few episodes and out, assuming it gets picked up at all.

Why do you say it's terrible and cliched? Have any plot details been leaked other than just the premise? ... I agree on the title, it connotes "short lived series".

I'm surprised The CW is moving forward on Wrecking Ball and Austin Golden Hour. I thought they would've gone with Undercover and The Collection ... Filthy Rich Girls does sound like a Gossip Girl imitator, which is funny since Gossip Girl was never a hit.

I've read a few of the character bios from unofficial sources. But the whole turn 24 style film making into a medical drama has been tried before. 3 lbs. comes immediately to mind.

I think Undercover is still a go. The CW hasn't released the cast list yet.

The premise to 'Rich Girls doesn't intrest me in the least, but it has Rina Mimoun attactched to it, along with Joanna Garcia now, so I'll check it out. Rina's a great writer...shame she didn't stay with Pushing Daisies.

That said they are gonna have to manipulate promotion like old style WB to make people to tune into this, cause the title is very offputting. *sigh* Same for 'Golden Hour.

Are you put off by the word 'Rich' or the word 'Girls'? Personally, I don't have a problem with either of those or with the word 'Teach', though I suppose many people cringe because that word makes them think of school. Maybe it is the word 'Filthy'? That word would be 'offputting' if it was attached to the word 'girls' rather than the word 'rich'. My only concern would be with the words 'How to' since it implies instructions that have to be followed. I hate following instructions.

Poor Rina. From chimps to Dopestroff. Joanna Garcia was probably the worst part about Reba. I'm excited to see if Barbara Jean lady ends up on ABC this fall in I believe the Cedric comedy.

If CW wants to 'break through', the first thing they need to do is stop recycling actors from their other shows. If an actor is going to 'break through', they will most likely be a fresh face and these recycled actors they have 'on staff' are not fresh faces.

Some actors have holding contracts which ties them for a network for a certain amount of time. I'd bet CW had a holding contract on Justin Hartley (hence the new show). Same for the other hold overs. Having a familiar face brings in fanbases from the old show into the new show. While new faces are definately needed, there is a case for bringing in old faces also.

Come on, you aren't in the least put off by a show called, "How to teach filthy rich girls"? I mean, people are sick enough of self entitled rich people, so I think its gonna carry a stigma about it.

And about recycled actors--its true that they need fresh faces, but having familar faces could also help reign in fans who have abandoned the network due to its incompetence.

Melissa Peterman is gonna be in the Cedric the Entertainer comedy? Ehh...I dont like Ced, but I like MP...what to do? *confusion*

Melissa Peterman did shoot the pilot with Cedric last October. I wish ABC would announce more about the show - May cannot come fast enough!

I think that the CW is confused and thinks that it isn't 2004 and The OC isn't the hottest thing on TV.

Unless 90210's pilot is beyond bad, I'd suggest with going with it instead. "How to teach filthy rich girls" seems like it'd make a better sitcom or not ever being produced...

With Smackdown leaving the network, the CW needs to find shows that guys will want to watch and a soapy drama about terminally rich girls isn't it.
