90210 encores will open the fall season in the Wednesday 9pm timeslot. Stylista will launch on October 29th (just in time for November sweeps).

I wonder if the encore 90210 will manage higher ratings than the initial airing on Tuesday? Either way, this looks like a good way to build the initial audience for the series.

This will give Mr. Arsenio Hall's "Funniest Moments" on MyNetworkTV a full two months to gain viewers on Wednesdays at 9 pm up against a CW repeat.

I agree that this is a good move. It makes sense for promotion purposes as well.

I think 90210 is going to do well, at least initially, for CW (in relative terms). GG will be put to shame if not the sword.

I read Mediaweek's article on the premiere dates, and it reads that Valentine premieres in September while Surviving Suburbia premieres in November. What is MRC or CW planning to air in the extra 30 minutes on Sundays, and will it be CW's choice or MRC's?

From what I read, the MRC block will begin in September from 7 PM to 10 PM and then in November, when Surviving Suburbia comes in, they will move it back to 6:30.

I haven't seen that question answered yet, but the answer should involve 5pm-7pm, not just the half hour from 6:30pm-7pm. MRC is taking over the whole early block, but they haven't clearly laid out what they will air (syndicated shows, CW encores that are rented/loaned back to them, MRC encores, etc...) or when the exact changeover from CW to MRC will occur. I bet the people at MRC are logging lots of overtime hours right now, though.

To me, it seems like the CW is betting nearly everything on 90210 being a hit and there being a trickle down effect to the other shows on the network. Hmmm... you like 90210, then how about Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, or that other show about rich teens that airs after it?

I believe "Stylista" will be yet another reality clinker for CW, which will tank in its 3rd ep.

I've honestly seen as many if not more ads for Gossip Girl and while I agree 90210 is a big deal for them, they need to be ready for the chance that it doesn't click.
