Dawn Ostroff said that development would continue after the upfronts due to the writer's strike. So there's a possibilty, albeit slim, that they could pick up Undercover to film a Pilot in the summer and then air midseason.

I think if they were to find a great cast, then it would be a wise idea to pick up Undercover. I have no idea what they're going to do midseason since they only have three Pilots and with Smackdown gone there's two more hours to program in the Fall.

CW is claiming they are going to pick up some "cutting edge" (whatever that means, with the CW who knows) comedies in the summer so that could fill in some vacancies. As for the other gaps, I see CW just using cheap reality ideas and encores.

It'd be a good Reaper companion and the CW could use it to fill the Smackdown void.

Sunday
Reality Encore
The Collection (NEW)
Undercover (NEW)
Try and build out of the reality encore and have two show about clothing.

Monday
Gossip Girl
How to Teach Filthy Rich Girls (NEW)
And Dawn & Les says "let there be shows about rich teen characters"

Tuesday
One Tree Hill (NEW TIME)
Beverly Hills 90210 (NEW)
It's likely the final season of One Tree Hill, it's fans are loyal enough and it might as well get throw to Idol in the spring.

Wednesday
Top Model / Fashion Magazine (NEW) / Top Model
Chris (NEW TIME)
The Game (NEW TIME)
They've yet to have success with a drama after Model, so try sitcoms.

Thursday
Supernatural (NEW TIME)
Smallville (NEW TIME)
Smallville WILL be ending, the producers and cast members are abandoning ship, why not give Supernatural a break (for once) and give it the easier time slot?

Friday
Reaper (NEW TIME)
Moonlight (NETWORK PREMIER)
It's doubtful a new pilot will do as well as Reaper and if CBS is going to cancel Moonlight, import the show and the viewers to the CW.

REPLACEMENTS: Beauty & the Geek, Sherri Shepard Sitom, Austin Golden Hour

Below is my proposed CW Fall 08 schedule. I agree with other posts that Sunday and Friday are going to be big problems for the CW.

MONDAY
8pm Gossip Girl
9pm 90210 SPINOFF (new series)

TUESDAY
8pm STYLEDOME (new series)
9pm One Tree Hill (new night)

- One Tree Hill did decently in this timeslot during the writer's strike.

WEDENSDAY
8pm America's Next Top Model
9pm AUSTIN GOLDEN HOUR (new series)

THURSDAY
8pm Smallville
9pm Reaper (new night)

FRIDAY
8pm 90210 Spinoff REPEAT
9pm Supernatural (new night)

SUNDAY
7pm America's Next Top Model REPEAT
8pm The Game (new time)
830pm Everybody Hates Chris (new time)
9pm THE COLLECTION (new series)

I dont think I would dump Supernatural on Friday's, especially after a repeat of the 90210 spin-off.

Does it really matter? The whole CW line up is screwed. They need to program Friday, so why not try to establish the night around one of their already established shows. If the show is really that important, the fans should be able to move with it.

I do agree, though, that Friday night shouldn't be opened with an encore of 90210 spin off (it has yet to prove itself).

I could actually see CW doing encores of 90210 on Friday or Sunday. CW obviously wants it to do well and they will try multiple airings to expose it to an audience.

IMO this is a pretty good schedule. Except the renewal of Crowned.

Also, the Friday schedule I think could work, although I already said Supernatural wouldnt work there, but now that I think about it, both could.

That is a good idea, especially for The CW.

Thanks I think it makes the most sense.. But with the people who run the CW they will do the opposite. Put all there top shows into 2 or 3 days and pull in 1 million on the others..
