I think both line-ups are very realistic, I could see them happening. My line-up was a bit risky, in other words, I would be accused of killing Reaper and Supernatural. lol

I was one of those people accusing you of killing those shows. Now that I think about it, it is a possibilty. Not much competition, and those are stronger shows. Maybe the CW could be in 3rd place next year with that line-up.

Only movies on Friday? I dont think that is smart, and I wouldnt put the comedies on Sunday. They havent done well on that night.

I think the CW has to be very careful placing anything new on Friday or Sunday. Those two days will be the CW's weakest. If they do debut new material, it needs to either have a good lead in or shielded by two established shows. If not, you are just dumping it there without any chance of survival.

Thats a good schedule, but would you really put 2 new series with no old show on the same night (I would put Encores of ANTM first)

My lineup is based on the fact that the CW in no way can fix both Sundays and take on a new Friday this fall. I see them going with either movies or perhaps finding some cheaper programming for Fridays right now so if I were them, I would fix Sundays first and then focus on Friday at a later date. The reason is mainly due to Fridays as a night not having as much value for them as Sundays. So here's what I suggest for now. I think they need to put a new focus on branding themselves as the destination for something because even if they claim they're the network for 18-34 year olds, I see nothing even remotely targeting them in terms of promotions. They could use a page from ABC's promotions department here lately or the WB of old or even NBC, whose comedy night done right is at least a neat way of branding an evening.

Mondays:
Gossip Girl
One Tree Hill

Two peas in a pod.

Tuesdays:
Chris
Aliens
Reaper

To me these three just seem like they would work together and all three seem like they wouldn't be hurt by Idol so much as shows like Lost or the Fox Sunday cartoons.

Wednesdays:
Top Model/B&tG
The Game
new comedy

dramas seem to fail behind Top Model- why not try minority comedies?

Thursdays:
Smallville
new drama- potentially the 90210 spinoff or that Justice League series we've been hearing about

Fridays:
Cdub Friday movies or perhaps they can air the remaining eps of the upcoming CBS mixed martial arts thingy when it flops on the mother net.

Sundays:
Supernatural: Beginnings
Supernatural (repeats of this show seem to be the best lead in its had so far)
new drama- Supernatural has as many fans tuning in for the "hot guys" than the storyline so I feel the 90210 spinoff could go here too or maybe they could try something thats going after a more wider audience here.

I do not think you will be seeing a Smallville spinoff this season. Even more so now that Justin Hartley is attached to another project. There really isn't anyone left strong enough to anchor their own show. However, I hold onto my impossible glimmer of Gotham with Bruce Wayne getting the same treatment Clark Kent got over the past seven years.

I do believe that you will see the CW designate a particular night on their schedule to be older demo night, meaning all those medical/law/police shows will be lumped together even if it is all new programming on an entire night. Sunday makes most sense to me, although it does tickle my brain that they will go with Friday since their main demo doesn't watch TV that night. But side by side, I would still choose putting that block on Sunday despite the competition from other nets.

Well I guess if Life is Wild-like ratings are what they're after then that's what they should do.
