Ginger, I like that lineup for the most part (even if you did try to get rid of the 2 comedies I watch), but your Friday lineup is fatally flawed. Any quality CW lineup should at least start the season with all new programming. No encores on an original Fall schedule! Save the Top Model encore for when one of those new dramas tanks and plug in the 2 cancelled sitcoms on Friday to start the season.
I agree but its time to break up Smallville and Supernatural. At least air the Smallville spinoff after the original and not make it lead off a night. Then use Supernatural as the Tuesday lineup. Believe it or not, there is still available audience on Thursdays at 9.

The CW is going to have another bad year! 07-08 has been a killer for the network! The only shows to have a steady viewing of over 3 million is ANTM, SV, OTH, SN. If they don't do some work, next year will be a big upset! But they don't have much to work with! But with the loss of Smackdown and low pilots, its safe to say GG and Reaper will be back!
Sunday into a male night. With the loss of Smallville next season, start airing supernatural from the start to maybe use that for thursday 8pm next season.
Monday-Try making it a male night 8- HOW TO LOOSE A GUY IN TEN DAYS 9-Gossip Girl
Think this will be a great teen and demo night
Tuesday- 8-90210 spinoff 9-OTH good viewers when American idol on. Tyr giving a better lead in and maybe the veiwers will increase more.
Think 90210 can find its own audience, should be a great fix with OTH
Wednesday- ANTM/STYLEDOME/B & G 9-AUSTIN GOLGEN HOUR
Try only doing ANTM once, the ratings are starting to hurt so cut bck or it might be gone soon too!!! Austin golden hour should hole much of the lead in. This could become a great show! it all depends on the CW
Should do good with females
Thursday- Keep Thursday they way it is! With smackdown gone, now Cw’s number one or two night! 8-Smallville- Final season, but introduces to a new DC Project to take over for it. 9- Supernatural
Friday- Going to have big viewer drop thanks to smackdown! Friday- 8-EHC 8:30-Game 9-UNTITLED SHERRI SHEPHERD PROJECT 9:30-Another Comedy! Biring back reba it's there only hope for any ratings on friday!!! big mistake for cutting it

Originally posted by WelcomeToK-VilleBlueBloodUndercover: It's been confirmed by TV Guide that this indeed will be Girlfriends' last season and that it won't be returning next year.
Girlfriends Two pre-strike episodes remain. No additional episodes expected, although a special one-hour series finale is being discussed.
This pretty much ensures that CW will pick up Untitled Sherri Shepherd Project and 8 Days A Week to fill in spots.
Well I never say never with these dopes but a Sherri Shepherd sitcom would be a good move for them. 8 Days a Week however sounds atrocious and another season of Aliens is probably a better move. What they need more than anything is to split the comedies up with 2 after Top Model and the other 2 on Sundays with perhaps Reaper. This way Smallville and Supernatural could be used to launch new shows on Tuesday and Thursday. Friday can be movie day for now or more cheap reality with Mondays going to Gossip Girl and OTH. Repeats of Top Model fill Sundays.

The Sherri Shepherd sitcom could be another black family comedy like Chris (with better ratings hopefully) and with Sherri Shepherd on the view, I'm sure she could plug her show there. Being optimistic, it could be the CW's version of Reba.
Maybe a midseason order for Aliens, but 8 Days a Week seems a bit like Eve on UPN. It's got a traditional sitcom plot with minorities as leading characters played by C-list & D-list stars (Mario Lopez, Christian Millian, and that girl from the My Girl movies) and I think it could be a success.
As for Girlfriends, I hope they can get a respectable series final. The CW has yet to have one of those.... Maybe Jill Jones will take pitty and come back as Toni for the episode.
Well, It looks like the Cw may finally jump on the spin off train. Its about time.
The CW Keeps "Green Arrow" in Its Quiver
Justin Hartley, who recently resurfaced on Smallville as Oliver Queen (duck, it's Aretha!)/Green Arrow, has been signed to a talent holding deal with the CW, says the Reporter.
Prior to going Green for S'ville, Hartley fronted the dead-in-the-water Aquaman spin-off pilot, as well as two other wannabe series for the netlet. Oh, and he also was on Passions. Can't forget that.

5 Sci-fi/Fantasy/Superhero (Wonder Woman, Supernatural, Smallville, Green Arrow, Reaper) series? I know the CW needs to create more of what works, but isn't that over saturating? The most I recall the WB having at once was 4; Buffy, Angel, Charmed, & Roswell. Then again, the CW is in dire need to stop the money and viewer hemorrhages...

Yeah, it is a bit much, but to be honest the CW pilots sound AWEFUL. Maybe put Wonder Woman on the back burner (since it's fictional) until midseason (or cancel Reaper) and try something new. Maybe CBS has a better pilot that's not quite right for their network that could find a new home on the CW.
I agree that 5 sci fi shows are too much. The sci fi audience is very fickle. Most of the shows in the genre never hit and a lot of them get cancelled. For example, the first two NBC shows cancelled were sci fi shows: Bionic Woman and Journeyman.
If Wonder Woman gets greenlit it would be a huge mistake. There is a loyal following to the original series that would not think kindly of a remake, especially since the CW is not always known for their production value. CW also lacks in marketing and it would be a worse diaster than Bionic Woman. I wouldn't get too attached to an Aquaman/Green Arrow spin off either. In acutality, neither would work and it would just split up what little audience is left for Supernatural, Reaper, and Smallville.

My only thoughts on Wonderwoman are "if you thought Bionic Woman was bad..."
Aquaman/Green Arrow from the Smallville gang probably would be alright but would never reach Smallville hit status (6 million back in the day).
Wonder Woman is a film property. It will not see television any time soon. Even more so from Joss Whedon because of the way him exiting the project happened. WB wants to tell a different story and it will be told through the Justice League movie and then her own standalone film.
Supermax one the other hand is on flimsy ground and the character already exists in Smallville's world. Plus GA is a 2nd tier character while Wonder Woman is one of the big three.
Hartley would bring in the young ladies. Even more if they have him shirtless half the time. It already shows in Smallville ratings. They perk when he appears.
In the end whoever they choose, it probably would be smart to only go with one spinoff. Two will overplay a shortsided hand as it is.
But they also need to start picking some scripted stuff up. If they go crappy reality route they, circle the ambulances. Go back to last year and grab The World According to Barnes, didn't they sign all of them to talent holding deals?

FRINGE (drama about a young female fbi agent who, forced to confront the spread of powerful and unexplained phenomena, must work with an institutionalized scientist whose life's work may be at the center of the coming storm) and INVISIBLE (drama about a criminal who can turn invisible after accidentally coming into contact with chemical compound, giving him a new lease on life) are both being pitched to FOX who has very few spaces to fill due. These shows could fit in on the CW. The WB snagged Roswell from FOX years ago, then UPN took it with Buffy from the WB, so why not CW?
FOX is also planning Joss Whedon series called DOLLHOUSE (drama about the members of a group of men and women who are imprinted with different personalities for different assignments) that might get passed upon (or put on Friday nights and subsequently canceled). That could become the CW's Buffy equivalent! You know, successful cult drama? What Reaper didn't turn into...
A CBS has two drama pilots they might want to consider is ELEVENTH HOUR (a drama that revolves around a special science adviser to the government who, with his feisty female bodyguard in tow, saves people from the worst abuses of science) and UNTITLED REIFF & VORIS PROJECT (drama about a globetrotting team of freelance treasure hunters, led by an ex-navy seal turned archaeologist)
and if they must have a cop drama possibly NBC's UNTITLED JOHN STEPHENS PROJECT (drama about a team of regular cops dedicated to busting vampires, zombies and other criminal demons)
One Tree Hill has already reached episode 100, so everything else produced is just gravy. While it is one of the CW's top rated shows, it's in the 2 to 3 million range. With success of these better pilots, I don't see a reason to keep it around.

MY PROPOSED SCHEDULE (AS OF THE PILOTS NOW...AND JONATHANS PILOT INFO FROM OTHER NETS!)
MONDAY - Super Monday!! 8:00 Smallville - Massive Final Season Campaign 9:00 Smallville Spin-Off
Next season is likely to be SV's last year. To honor this achievement, The CW should do a countdown type thing emphasizing the last season, similar to The WB's 7th Heaven campaign. ..At this same time, launch a SV spinoff with Oliver Queen and the SV version of Justice League (Cyborg, Flash, etc.)
TUESDAY - Soapy Tuesday! 8:00 One Tree Hill 9:00 Gossip Girl
One Tree Hill has proven it can withstand American Idol. So, leave it here all year around.
WEDNESDAY - Girls Night @ Home! 8:00 ANTM/The Collection/ANTM 9:00 How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days/Pussycat Dolls or new reality/How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days
Do the regular ANTM cycle stuff as usual. Midseason launch the Tyra filler, The Collection, for everyone's Tyra "fix" ! ..After ANTM launch 10 Days. Make it a girl night @ home! Midseason, rest 10 Days and put the Dolls in the mix. Only if the ratings this upcoming season or good. If not-new reality! Then with the next ANTM cycle, bring back 10 Days!
THURSDAY Devilish Thursday! 8:00 Supernatural 9:00 Reaper/Beauty and The Geek/Reaper
So SP has been on long enough to hold down fort for a night. Following this, Reaper. Midseason, 8 eppy BATG followed by second half of the Reaper season.
FRIDAY - Crime Night 8:00 Undercover 9:00 Fringe
Since they lost Smackdown! start fresh. With new shows, possibly a rejected pilot from another net. If one of these fail, go to The CW'a #1 resource - REALITY! Oh brother!
SUNDAY - Comical Sunday 7:00 Various DRAMA Encores 8:00 Everybody Hates Chris - Final Season 8:30 Untitled Sherri Shepherd Project 9:00 The Game 9:30 8 Days A Week
Repeat dramas from previous days. Possibly new ones that need more exposure, but not too much. Crowned anybody???!!! ..Then go into EHC as the anchor, with a Final Season campaign as well. Maybe get some interest into The CW comedy block. Out of that launch a new comedy that will surely pertain to the family. From there go to #1 comedy The Game to be a lead in for 8 Days a Week. This show could go somewehere. Hopefully!
