The latest cast change for the CW involves Scott Patterson (he played Luke Danes on Gilmore Girls) taking over as the father on Aliens in America. Apparently, this cast change happened because the actor was guaranteed (in his contract) a new CW show if his current show (Gilmore Girls) got cancelled. It makes me wonder if this is the same reason for the cast change (father's part) on Life is Wild. The question is: if the CW has contract guarantees that keep the same mediocre people recast into every new show, how does the CW ever expect to break through in the ratings?

The CW is not really expecting to break through the ratings. That is why they are doing this. The people running this network would run a lemonade stand in the ground.
My point: The CW has bad leadership.
As for the mediocre part: The new Life Is Wild dude from HP is bad for that show. And I do not like him.
Luke / Scott is someone who I like. Can he be in a comedy? Well, I don't know. In GG he was always, lets say, grumpy.
Anyway, CW STOP with all of these cast changes!

I think both of these moves are good ones! Now we will at least know an actor on Aliens in America and I believe Bob from Hidden Palms is one of the best actors on that show.
