With the success of "America's Next Top Model," The CW is developing more fashion programming with the help of Isaac Mizrahi.

The designer will co-executive produce for the network "The Collection," a one-hour scripted project based on his experiences, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

See link for full story. But with Ugly Betty on the air and various fashion cable programs, is their room for this show? ABC Studios is producing so I would think it would have some quality.

If there is any quality and if it resembles any way ANTM, this show will be a hit. I can see it hitting with the female demos.

I agree. Good move, and maybe something that more than 18-34 year olds will watch.

Hmmm.... This could spell trouble for Gossip Girl At least counting on being behind Top Model. I can easily see the CW putting Collection behind Top Model. That could force Gossip Girl to another time slot which may not be that bad.

Gossip Girl surely won't have that spot for long. It's not keeping the ANTM lead in.

Great, more reality.

Does the CW understand the concept of balance. I guess not, since they are over-saturating their line up with reality. They need to work more on their drama development.

Well reality is very popular among 18-34 year olds and its the only thing that does well for them save for Smallville.

I completely agree. Plus most of the time it's dirt cheap to produce and is much more in the CW's budget.

Right now the CW has to focus on shows that will hit with an audience. The genre of the show really is not of concern.

CW isn't any more stuck on reality than FOX, ABC, or NBC. Only CBS is less 'reality'.

CW reality: B&tG, ANTM, CW Now, Online Nation, Smackdown, ANTMencore = 6 hours out of 13.

ABC: AFHV, EM:HE, DwtS, DwtS results, Bachelor, 20/20, Saturday Night Football = 9&1/2 hours out of 22.

NBC: FNiA, NFL Sunday, Singing Bee, Biggest Loser, DoND, DoND again, Dateline = 9 hours out of 22.

FOX: The OT (overrun sometimes), Kitchen Nightmares, 5th Grader, Lyrics, Great American Band, Nashville, Cops, Cops again, AMW = 7 or 8 hours out of 15.

CBS: 60 Minutes, Kid Nation, Survivor, Crimetime, Crimetime again, 48 Hours. = 6 hours out of 22.
