Yup, the long thread says it all.

Sundays
5pm - Easy View: Gossip Girl
6pm - Easy View: Reaper
7pm - 8 Days a Week (NEW SERIES)
7:30pm - Reba
8pm - Veronica Mars (NEW NIGHT & TIME)
9pm - Top Model: Encore

No way, Reba should go. Veronica Mars will get a chance here due to those great merchandise sales and the soft spot in my heart/head for the show. I don't expect it to duplicate 7th Heaven's ratings, but the bulk of fans would probably follow it to the new night. However, if ratings continue to drop, then Veronica is out and LIFE IS WILD is in.

Mondays
8pm - Everybody Hates Chris
8:30pm - Hell on Earth (NEW SERIES)
9pm - Spellbound (NEW SERIES)

HELL ON EARTH
comedy about a not-so-nice girl who gets hit by a bus and gets a second chance in life as a normal girl from the wrong side of the tracks

SPELLBOUND
dramedy about a young life coach/witch in new york who uses her magical powers to help others solve their problems

WHY?
We shouldn't have 4 half hour comedies just because we did in the past. This was the lowest rated night in the first season, so it needs to most change. So, out with the old and in with the new. Kyla Pratt and Kim Coles should equal a successful comedy and the light-hearted Spellbound could cap off the night.

Tuesdays
8pm Pussycat Dolls Present (Sep - Dec) / One Tree Hill (NEW NIGHT & TIME)
9pm Supernatural (NEW NIGHT)

WHY?
With the devastating loss of Gilmore Girls, I'd transplant Supernatural quickly. Those crazy loyal fans will follow it and the less competitive time couldn't hurt it. The Pussycat Dolls would go on first because they're produced by McG also and maybe we can snatch up the audience that watches American Idol here before it premieres. After the Dolls finish up, then One Tree Hill is back with their time warp and it's a night Rory Gilmore's boyfriends who now have their own shows.

Wednesdays
8pm - Top Model / Beauty & the Geek / Top Model
9pm - Gossip Girl (NEW SERIES)

WHY?
I know this is pretty similar to what the CW has already, but I actually think this is done right and given time, the ratings WILL go up. Plus, Geek gets less saturated.

Thursday
8pm - Smallville
9pm - Reaper (NEW SERIES)

WHY?
I just like this combination.

Friday
8pm - Friday Night SmackDown!

WHY?
Why tamper with perfection?

Back-up Show & Other Junk:
* The Game
* 8 Days a Week
* Crowned
* Life is Wild

*I'd also take the Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos project and turn it into recurring guest staring roles. Ripa as Barbra Jean's sister and Mark as somebody on Veronica Mars.

*I'd also be sweet talking the heck out of Joss Whedon to develop a new series for the network.

Well, here is what I think will happen next season.

Monday
8pm EHC
8:30 Aliens in America/ New Show
9pm Girlfriends (The Game if Girlfriends canceled)
9:30pm The Game (or New Show if Girlfriends canceled)

This night needs re-vamping. Obviously EHC stays, AiA only if Girlfriends is going otherwise it's cancelled. If Girlfriends is out of there (due to it's age/cost) then The Game (the strongest of the four comedies atm) is moved up to 9pm to provide lead-in support to a new comedy.

Tuesday
8pm Pussycat Dolls/One Tree Hill (if still around)
9pm Gossip Girl

This combo can easily billed as girl's night in - OTH if it's still around or new reality/scripted show mid-season. Realistically CW needs to keep Gossip as it can't afford to launch too many new shows with it's marketing budget. Also OTH and Smallville would only have one more season in them realistically if they are renewed this season.

Wednesday
8pm America's Next Top Model
9pm New Show

The lead in is wasted on Gossip Girl (which I think will still succeed on Tuesday nights out of Pussycat Dolls or OTH), but a new show needs the timeslot - sorry GG you're out of there.

Thursday
8pm Smallville
9pm Reaper

Reaper is more male skewing and the repeat of the premiere held up well in this slot. Definitely move it here if renewed next season (also Smallville should get renewed for an 8th season pending contract negotiations).

Friday
8pm Smackdown

Sometimes beats out the other four networks - need I say more?

Sunday
7pm Next Top Model Encore
8pm Supernatural
9pm New Show (Spellbound/Charmed-esque show)

A Charmed-esque show is just what Sunday night CW needs. Also moving Supernatural away from female skewing Greys Anatomy mega-hit will give it some breathing room - plus the loyal Supernatural fans (like the VM fans would have) will follow it to a new night.

So in total that's two new dramas, one new comedy/sitcom and possibly another drama or reality show depending on the fate of OTH. Of course if Smallville were to bow out this season then they would require another new drama.

Note: CW Now and Life is Wild, along with anything else the CW debuts mid-season (Crowned, Farmer Wants a Wife) is either canceled or a one-shot.

I agree with every single thing you said here except calling Friday nights "perfection". That's a leap, but I get the point.

I would shut down since my favorite shows either ended or were at good stopping points last year (OTH), but here's what I'd do...

Sunday:
B&tG encore
B&tG
Supernatural
Both have mixed male and female demos and B&tG would be good counterprogramming to the NFL and all the overun business imo. Plus, Supernatural would have a stable lead in with competition that does fit its demos.

Monday:
Chris
Aliens
Life is Wild
Family night and the compatibility between Aliens and Life was evidenced last night.

Tuesday:
Gossip Girl
OTH
A perfect pairing for the teen girls. Plus launches Gossip in highly touted former Gilmore Girls slot against weak competition.

Wed:
Top Model
The Game
Girlfriends/8 Days a Week

A "minority night" if you will as all three pull in heavy African American demos.

Thursday:
Smallville
Reaper

A decent enough male skewing pair.

Friday:
Smackdown!

Midseason:
Puddy Catts replace Top Model while Farmer Wants a Wife or Crowned replace B&tG, which ever one the net feels strongest about. Then the other is a midseason replacement for a drama.

Did CW keep the "EasyView" name for the Sunday late afternoon block? Are they calling it anything at all?

They're not calling it easy view but it's still there. Too bad, easy view was a great name for it, but this is the CW so no surprise.

This is a very good schedule. There isn't much to critique.

Replace doesn't with does on Sunday. Wink Those two with their mixed demos would be a great pair imo.

Maybe they figured it wasn't so easy since no one watched it. Big Grin

Well I actually think it did okay when Everwood and Smallville and One Tree Hill were filling the slots. They 7pm repeats on the WB were always not half bad on a repeat.

Sundays
7pm - Encore: Top Model
6pm - Encore: Hell on Earth
6:30pm - Encore: Everybody Hates Chris

7pm - Aliens in America (New Series)
7:30pm - Reba
8pm - Veronica Mars (New Time)
9pm - Gravity (New Series)

Mondays
8pm - Hell on Earth (New Series)
8:30pm - Everybody Hates Chris (New Time)
9pm - Life is Wild (New Series)

Tuesdays
8pm Pussycat Dolls Present / Gossip Girl (New Time)
9pm Gossip Girl / One Tree Hill (New Night)

Wednesdays
8pm - Top Model / Beauty & the Geek / Top Model
9pm - Reaper (New Series)

Thursday
8pm - Smallville
9pm - Supernatural

Friday
8pm - Friday Night SmackDown!

I'd get aggressive on Sundays, split up the comedy block, save the primetime Top Model encore for an emergency, and save the reality programming like Farmer and Crowned for summertime. If I swapped any time slots, it'd be Reaper with Supernatural.

I liked Reba but its time to move on already, especially with Veronica Mars, which would be pulling about the same amount of viewers on Sunday as Life is Wild.
