CW needs to dump the Sunday repeat of One Tree Hill. A repeat of any other show they have would likely do better.

They need to dump Sunday in general. Throw on a 2 hour movie into an hour of the Game. Also, pull the B&tG repeats and move Everybody Hates Chris there for a full hour. They could advertise it as Tuesday's biggest tools on the CW. While they are low rated, keeping GG and OTH repeats on is a good idea, especailly for GG to help increase exposure. They should make sure though that all eps of both air so perhaps some extra Sunday night eps from 6 to 8 later on will be needed but we don't need an encore of a repeat. In easy view this summer, air repeats of Top Model and perhaps burn off canceled show Online Nation's lost episodes.

All the more reason The CW needs to renew Farmer Wants a Wife. (However, EVERYTHING else execept FWAW and FNS was a repeat)

Friday Night Smackdown's high ratings stand out like a sore thumb amidst the low-rated fare on The CW.

Soon, they will stand out like a sore thumb on MyNetworkTV.

I agree. The only difference is that the Smackdown ratings only stand out on CW during the rerun season. They will stand out on MNTV year round.

Well very soon everything could be lower rated at the CW. Smallville is trailing off and ending. I predict Top Model is nearing its drop off point. Should Tyra go bye bye, it could send the show down to a much lower viewer level. The show could also sink without Tyra like it has this past season too. Of course, given the CW, they would like that since low rated has been their specialty since the beginning when they chose the dud Veronica Mars over higher rated options and chose to air a Top Model repeat in the highest hut level hour of the night on Sundays instead of comedies.

I think the CW is doomed. 90210 will have to get about 5 million just for them to make up for the loss of Smackdown. Surviving the Filthy Rich I foresee/predict being a massive blink-and-you-missed it failure.

And why Veronica bash? It wasn't a hit, but it had strong enough sales on iTunes and in DVDs that it was worth keeping around.

Now, if you want something to criticize about the first CW season consider that the CW picked 7th Heaven over Everwood knowing it would old have one more season. They picked Runaway over Aquaman. To me, a show about a shirtless superhero is an easy sell to young viewers. The CW benched it's highest rated comedy, Reba, to midseason. They picked All of Us just because of the Will Smith producer credit and Tony Rock (Chris Rock's brother) being in the cast. They also neglected to pick up the highly buzzed about Nick Lachey sitcom. They got the Gilmore Girls creators to resign which lead to sagging ratings. To top it all off, they decide to star off with having a reality encore on the schedule.

The CW sure missed Veronica Mars this past season.

Veronica Mars season 3 out-rated every single new series that The CW programmed this season in viewers and demo.

C'mon dumont.
As quickly as broadcast networks are losing viewers, its unfair to compair one season to the other.

Had VM still been on the schedule, it would have lost more viewers and be in the same mess as a Gossip Girl or Reaper or perhaps at the levels of the Sunday Comedies.

Very few shows last season were able to either hold their previous numbers or even grow.

The CW is doomed to fail and another season of VM would have just been another step closer to that destiny.

This is one of those moments when we need Paul Harvey to step in and tell us 'the rest of the story'. It is worse than just a case of dumont trying to compare last year with this year. He is also comparing a show that had Gilmore Girls as a leadin with one that had Beauty & the Geek as a leadin. So, Veronica Mars was spotted a couple million viewers each episode as a leadin vs. Reaper. He is also likely using repeat data as well as first run, so the WGA strike hits this season with more repeats while not effecting last season. Even with all that, I'm not sure Veronica Mars actually beat Reaper when comparing first run episodes in viewers, much less beat Reaper in the 18-49 demo. Gossip Girl was trending up towards the end as well and may have beaten them both in the demo, and come close in the viewers. In any case, I remember him making this claim a couple months ago and the data for the shows were all very close.

The CW really could use 1 or 2 movie nights. These repeats are geting old and a movie that gets as low as a 1.2 million viewers would do better than most of that lineup.
