CW Network can look forward to 25 sports preemptions a year in the New York market for Mets games:

CW can only hope these games won't all fall in primetime.

well baseball is only april to october, so mostly safe, but i think its safe to assume that the cw will have lots of pre-empt for local coverage with such low ratings

WPIX primetime games are usually on Saturday, which the CW doesn't program anyway, and sometimes Friday and very rarely Sunday.

At least half (probably more) of these 25 games are likely to be weekend afternoon games.

The CW has little to worry about here. It was nothing more than a sports contract renewal.
