AND, I just read that Laurie Metcalf is going to be recurring as Sheldon's (Jim Parsons') mom.

Things are looking good!

The addition of Lauire Metcalf may just be what this show needs to become a major hit in time. This has to be one of the better casts assembled for comedies in some time.

Well, if it has half the success of Roseanne, and can tap into the Roseanne audience I will be very happy.

Agreed, all it needs is to be moved to the 9:30 time slot, and away we go. If the suits at CBS are smart enough to move this show to 9:30 they could have the next hit sitcom to go with Two and Half Men.

If it has half of the success of Roseanne initally, to borrow a line from Dumont, all fans should be doing cartwheels through the office. Big Grin

I agree. Let Rules die a slow death at 8:30 and then replace it with the superior Christine.

I don't think either is very funny. Rules is defenitely better though. I sometimes watch Christine just to laugh at how bad the jokes are.

I like Christine better. Granted Wanda Sykes and JL-D are the only standable parts of the show, but that's two more than Rules of Engagement.

My point exactly and I even enjoyed Spade and Putty in previous programs like 8 Simple Rules and Less than Perfect.
