I agree that it was better than most of the other comedies on TV today. I don't think you can blame CW for the fact that people wouldn't watch it, though. A big chunk of CW's sitcom audience is African American and that segment was very much against the concept of Aliens in America being allowed to co-mingle as a 'minority sitcom' in what "should be" an African American timeslot. Meanwhile, the general public wasn't going to switch away from CBS's Monday sitcoms or FOX's Sunday animation block to give Aliens in America a try. It is a shame because the show likely would have been successful had it aired on FOX or ABC in the first place.

Look at it this way: a foreign exchange student is only meant to be around for 1 year anyway.
