Saw the pilot: Hilarious. I think if you're a fan of comedy shows like Everybody Hates Chris, The Office, My Name Is Earl, or most single camera comedies, then I definitely think most will enjoy it. The show is the perfect comedy for The CW.
I watched the pilot and I dont think it was bad, but I dont think I'll keep up with it. My biggest complaint was that I think they tried too hard in making them "geeky" and I also didnt find the two main characters that likeable or charming like I did for the geeky characters in "Chuck" or "Reaper."
I just watched the pilot. It thought it was very funny, definitely one I'll be watching for. It is the perfect companion to Everybody Hates Chris, because of both the narration of the show and the fact that the main characters are very similar.
It'll be interesting to see how Scott Paterson does with the role, because I thought the father was pitch-perfect.

This pilot was by far my biggest disappointment (out of the 7 I've seen), based on the hype. Should I try thinking about it as a half-hour drama instead of a sitcom? Because I just didn't think it was funny, at all, even though it wasn't all that bad in general.
I think the premise has a chance to go some interesting places and tackle some interesting stuff, that's for sure. I may watch a couple more to see if it goes to those places. I don't think that it went to those places in the pilot.
I viewed the pilot this weekend and I thought for a CW show, it was pretty decent. (Note, compared to so many turkeys like Living With Fran and Modern Men) I'm still torn on whether or not I will watch this long term, my gut tells me I'll tire of this one after about 1/2 a year.
