I would rather have 13 good episodes than 22 watered down episodes.
If you have been following Battlestar Galactica it can be argued that when Scifi expanded their season to now 20 episodes from their 13 it has hurt the quality of the series.
Much like with The 4400 only 13 episodes a season and thats it.
I really like Jericho and I would watch the full 22 episodes but just throwing it out there would the quality be better with just the 13 episodes per season??
Jericho was the one show I was really curious about. I went in with low expectations and I am surprised at how much I look forward to seeing it each week. Only 22 and a half more hours to the next episode!
To compete on Network Jericho has to offer a full season . . . I only tuned in to sample but darned if the writing and acting hasn't made me put this on my taping schedule so I can enjoy it without commercials and rewind and mute if I can't catch something so CC can print the dialogue I might miss.

I'm not loving Jericho. I really enjoyed the first episode but now I'm just not seeing where the show is going. I do think there are interesting characters in the town so I'm not giving up on it yet.
I am worried that Jericho will turn into just another prime time soap opera like Lost. Rather than focusing on the big picture, Jericho and the war, I am afraid it will be a weekly foray into the personal lives and day to day struggles of the Jericho citizens.
One challenge re: number of episodes per season is that you have to strike while the iron is hot. The real goal of most series these days is to last long enough and produce enough episodes to make it into potentially successful syndication - if you're only running 13/season, it will take many years until you reach that magic number (50 hours?) to cash in on the rerun market.
Dancing over Jericho?? Are you out of your mind??lol
Come on along on this ride with Jericho. I had Executive Producer Carol Barbee on my radio show Tuesday night and she was so enthusiastic about what is coming on the series.
Go to http://www.S2DRADIO.com the click on the most recent program 10/17 she is on about 15 minutes into the first hour and stays until the end of the first hour.
