Yikes. That list just makes me sad. I don't see "None of the above" so will have to abstain.

I don't know about that. Without A Trace stands out because it's got the best cast and they can all act. If the show's premise weren't so routine, these actors would be recognized during award time.

Without A Trace is the only one I can stand to watch. It's the only one listed with consistently good acting and writing.

I threw CSI Miami a bone and gave it what will probably be its lone vote. It's the funniest of the bunch, and the only one that entertains me, that's for sure.

I voted for Numb3rs.
There's just something very likeable about this show.

The cast seems to have great chemistry.
It's like a big family.

Peter MacNicol is an absolute gem.

I'm with you Paul. I can't stand those bland procedurals, but I see why people like them.

I would suggest they are popular because you don't actually have to watc them to know what's going on. Good shows to have on when you are fighting o get the kids to bed or washing the sishes. You can miss minutes at a time and keep up with the storty quite necely. Cause its basically the same story week after week after week.

No, they are popular because they do their genre well.. and everyone loves a mystery.

I love CSI and Without a Trace, but Criminal Minds is my choice. It has a good cast, well writen and directed. Plus, They dont hide thinks(cheat) to make a suprise ending (Matlock), but they don't make it obvious either. At times you HAVE to look in the background to get the hint or see suspect. They don't give you the standard "Close Up" of the item/person.

I just find it boring watching the same thing, week after week. I love a good mystery, but I like my characters to have a little personality and a life outside of work (example: NYPD Blue). When I think procedural, all I think of is the extremely bland David Caruso on CSI: Miami. I know that Miami is the worst of all the procedurals, but I see the same thing on Criminal Minds, Without a Trace, and the other 2 CSI's. I guess if I had to pick one it would be NCIS. Its characters are at least entertaining, but its no where near as good as JAG.

Well, I like pretty much all of them but I would have to say that CSI is still the show to beat.

Look on the bright side, at least he didn't ask which ABC sitcom you like the best. Wink

Hmm... an ABC comedy. Well I guess I could say Ugly Betty or Housewives. Wink

I would have voted for both Criminal Minds and Close to Home because I think they are tied, but I voted Criminal Minds because it has a bigger audience.

I think that CSI, Cold Case and Without a Trace are definitely good quality as well.

I watch CSI: Miami for the outstanding female cast members. David Caruso's laughable performance bars this show from getting my vote.

I do not watch or do not like CSI: New York, NCIS, Shark or Numb3rs.

The original CSI but I feel like I should be watching NCIS for some reason. If someone would like to catch me up on it I would gladly give it a shot.

But for overall procedural I would go for Bones and none of the CBS procedural which is the same thing over and over.
