Written to M. Berman regarding What's Hot and What's not: Upon clicking on Yahoo TV (to see what's on tonight) I was driven to the site that (apparently) you authored...regarding what's hot, what's not or at least who won the ratings for last evening. Monday night, January 29.
I don't know where the figures come from (a magical group of elves who mystically peer into the little and big tv sets of America ?)but I want to (no I feel I must) make mention that you blasted Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and I feel unfairly so.
It's smart television, well-written and acted. A most enjoyable hour of television which is much needed in the sea of Deal and No Deal runs and re-runs.
Let's be fair and find a way to really get numbers from the intelligent viewers, eh?
Marc feels horrible about what he wrote about Studio 60. He actually wants to quit the business all together if it will make you happy. Your opinion means the world to all of us hear at PIFeedback.
Sincerely, Xwiseguyx

Oh x, I knew I could count on you for a laugh. X, how is your sitcom going to fit into the new MNTV schedule?

LOL. Susan, uh, I hate to break it to you, but Marc is in the extreme majority on Studio 60. I'm sure he will be tendering his resignation very soon over his opinion about S60, which has to be the biggest flop in terms of all hype and no product in recent history.
Studio 60 isn't really for intelligent audiences. It's for people who like to feel better thinking that they are more intelligent than everyone else. Obviously, most viewers are not that desperate for validation.

And how would a person qualify to be considered "intelligent"?
Jeez...this post beats 'em all!

I'm the biggest tv snob around and even I find Studio 60 to be condecending -- and it has absolutely no right to be. It is not well written and employs every cliche in the book. Its just plain bad. The biggest disappointment of the season by far in terms of quality.

Here is the exact quote: "Had Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip not dropped the ratings’ ball at 10 p.m., NBC would have been guaranteed victory in both categories based on the strength of Deal or No Deal and Heroes."
IMO, there are a lot worse things that can be said about S60. That is if anything a very accurate statement.
Exactly. I honestly think the whole intelligent viewer stuff is crap. Somebody was trying to say that What About Brian deserved a renewal for the same thing! Wake up folks. Nobody is watching.

That is just hilarious...I would say the intelligent viewer is not watching Studio 60.
There aren't many viewers, intelligent or unintelligent, rich or poor, male or female, demo or non-demo (I could keep going here), watching Studio 60 or What About Brian. Period.

Note to CSI Miami viewers. Susan thinks your stupid and worthless individuals that are not worthy of breathing the same air as her. I can't even repeat her thoughts about you CW viewers.
