I put a message in today's PI on this, folks. Where do you think the spin-off should take place?
That was great Marc, thank you!
As Sean has already said, most fans believe the series should take place in the future. It could easily be set in the Manor (which is situated in San Fancisco and has been the Halliwell family home for generations) to give the Charmed fans some famiiiarity. Or, if the producers wanted to give the series a different "feel" and "look" it could be set somewhere relevant to the boys' lives and the challenges they will be facing.
I hope the show happens -- sounds like a good idea to me.
I agree. And I ask again...what could The CW possibly have to lose by at least ordering a pilot of this series? Or even a tv movie? Both lead actors are willing and available and there is a ready-made fanbase that is waiting to watch. Where are the negatives? Why are they hesitating?
I think the thecharmedsons is a fabulous idea! I find it hard to believe that a show with such a dedicated fanbase would let it's spinoff get ratings worse than what the cw is achieving at the moment. Surely a show that has been brewing this long would get decent hype.
Charmingaussie, has anybody been able to contact the cw directly? What kind of stuff has to be done before the show can be pitched to them?
i think a charmed spin of featuring chris and wyatt is a brilliant idea!!! The show is very popular and the drew and was episodes drew in loads of veiwers th cw shopuld listen to what the fans want for once!

Fans have organised a phone-in campaign, as well as sending postcards and letters to The CW. Nobody has actually spoken to Dawn Ostroff, or pitched her the show. I have no idea whether she is even aware that this campaign exists.
If there is anyone out there reading this who knows Dawn Ostroff, or has a contact in The CW, I would very much appreciate if you could let them know that there is strong support for this spin-off.
I understand the enthusiasm Charmed fans might have over the thought of a spin off, but personally it would make me upset if they did this and never spun off something from the Buffyverse. I know that universe is pretty dead at this point, and Buffy already got a spin-off in Angel, but still...
Best of luck on it, though, even though I won't be watching!
I know her, and I will mention it to her the next time we speak.
Thank you Marc, that would be fantastic!
I would be very interested to hear Dawn Ostroff's response. I know a Charmed Spin-off was considered by The WB, but it was a "forced" spin-off with the character of Billie that was only introduced into the show for that reason and would have had nothing to do with the Halliwell family. The character of Billie was hated so much by fans that the spin-off idea was dropped very quickly.
The idea behind The Charmed Sons has been going for nearly 3 years now, and is a "natural" spin-off which continues the story of the Halliwell family, and also would continue the story of a very popular and high-rating storyarc of Season 6 Charmed.
It seems such an obvious idea to the fans of the show, but Dawn may not be aware of that or the high ratings that Season 6 Charmed achieved.
I'm loving all these positive reactions to a Charmed Sons spin-off!
I can't figure out why The CW hasn't considered it before. They need a dedicated fan base to come in and give them some ratings. Maybe, bringing in a dedicated fan base to a show like this, and pairing it with something, like Supernatural or even a new show might help things a bit. A Charmed Sons spin-off could certainly help out a struggling show or bring a big audience to a brand new one.
I just can't believe the network isn't doing everything possible to bring in an audience. All they're managing to do is squander the little bit of ratings they do have with crappy, failed shows.
