Does anyone know how Battlestar Galactica did in ratings last night?

BSG was much better last night. Seems the show is better when they are in space.

Last week did from what I hear a 1.4.

Cant imagine Scifi is too happy with those numbers. Maybe they can flip Doctor Who with Heroes or better yet move BSG to Sunday nights.

I can't believe this show is even still on the air. I find it very boring.

BG is starting to drag. Getting old. More Lucy Lawless, I say.

Doctor Who, on the other hand, is so much silly fun that he could just be immortal after all. Anybody catch David Tennant as BBC's Casanova on the PBS rebroadcast a couple of weeks back?

She looks really weird now, though, doesn't she? Did she have some 'work' done?

In terms of attracting viewers, it's got at least two things going for it:

(a) name value

(b) critics continuing to hail it as the best show on TV.

BSG is up against first-run network programming, and the Doctor Who knockoff series has been a major drag on its ratings. It used to have a much stronger lead-in from the Stargate shows.

Frankly, I hope BSG doesn't run more than another season or two. It's too good a show to be ruined by too long a run.

Apparently it may be moved, according to TV Guide's Michael Ausiello, who wrote (somewhat cryptically) on November 8:

***

Rumor has it that something big is brewing behind the scenes that could go a long way in boosting the show's ailing Nielsens. It concerns the show's time slot.

I'm gonna assume you're not in the demo, Sheila.

I think it's one of the most fascinating shows on the air. But it's very dense and not an easy watch. I think The Wire is probably the only series around that requires more attention to follow all the story layers.

I actually find Lost much more boring (one of the many reasons I stopped watching it), but I'm not going to wish it off the air.

Looks like the timeslot change is confirmed, according (again) to Michael Ausiello at TV Guide:

***

A Sci Fi Channel rep is now confirming what I've been hinting at for weeks: Battlestar Galactica is saying "Frak you!" to Friday.

The galaxy's best space epic ever is heading to Sundays at 10 pm beginning Jan. 21, when the show returns with the second half of Season 3.

Good news for us Canucks: once Skiffy changes the timeslot, so will Space, so that for the first time, we'll be getting BG on the same day and at the same time as American viewers.

Yay!

I saw the very first couple episodes of Battlestar Galactica and it was decent. It was just on too late. I was hoping to watch season 3 but I forgot about it. I didn't know it was on at 9pm on Fridays. Now there moving to Sundays at 10pm. I'm in bed by that time. That sucks. Is there going to be any reruns of the first half of season 3?

Is it any good? I saw the season 2 finale, at least the last few minutes of it. Looked good.

I only jumped in the fray for this show this season (cheesy original show & hype kept me away). I caught a 1 hour "Previously on" and it grabbed me. It's not "the best show on TV" - or even the best Sci-fi - but it's definitely up there with its great writing and acting. It's consistently good and it deserves a larger audience.

Wow, what a horrible, pointless episode this week. Hopefully with the timeslot change will come the kick-in-the-pants this series really needs right now.

I heard that, The Vok. Don't you love how Starbuck can, of course, box with men and not get her behind handed to her? There are reasons women and men don't box professionally against each other. Apollo's superior weight, reach, and upper body strength should have knocked her straight on her behind. So should Hot Dog's for that matter. They don't teach women to stand toe to toe and try to punch out a male assailant in self defense. Sheesh.

But it's Super Buck, Ron Moore's favorite character. Did you find yourself wanting to shake Lee Adama and ask, "Do you need a house to fall on you, you idiot?" How nice that all of his weight gain and issues had nothing to do with anything except Kara. Roll Eyes My brother screamed, "If you don't want your wife, I'll take her, Adama.....you moron!!"

Nothing like a sappy soap opera in space. I can't believe they wasted an episode on Lee and Kara's nonexistent chemistry. The writers had better do something quick if they want a fourth season. Nielsen Galaxy Report listed "Hero," last week's ep, as earning a 1.3 household rating. That's a series low. Ratings for Unfinished Business aren't out yet.
