Last I heard, Tony Danza was starring in 'The Producers' on Broadway.

I remember there was some speculation after John Ritter died that Tony Danza would take the lead on '8 Simple Rules', but nothing ever materialized.

I hadn't heard that about 8 Simple Rules -- that actually would have worked better than the additions of James Garner and David Spade, imo...
Now that you put him in that setting, I think TD is due for another family sitcom role. When is he done with the broadway musical?

Huh? So you'd rather have someone who you can't understand when talking instead? I for the record, thought Garner was a great addition and even Spade had his moments. Really it was the Mother character who took the lead and did a great job with it. Chalk up the ratings declines imo to a move to Friday.

Actually as of November, when I was in Las Vegas, Tony Danza was doing The Producers at the hotel I was staying at (Paris). (Not quite Broadway - Smiler) We met him riding up the elevator - nice guy.

Yeah she comes in and out of the spotlight and has never really "blown up" but i always think she's good. that lifetime wisegal movie looks pretty decent because of her and james caan (who always on point). it's on saturday at 9 if anyone's interested.
