Heroes returns tonight, 1/22 @ 9pm. It will face 24 head-to-head for the first time.

Question:
Who's going to win?

Choices:
24
Heroes

Question:
How many viewers will Heroes return to?

Choices:
10-12 million viewers (24 is going to steal lots of viewers)
12-14 million viewers (Heroes will take a minor hit)
14-16 million viewers (no effect from competition)
16-18 million viewers (absense makes the heart grow fonder, and repeats have brought in new viewers)

Question:
How many viewers will 24 have?

Choices:
10-12 million viewers (superpowers trump superagent)
12-14 million viewers (a little erosion from the big premiere event)
14-16 million viewers (no effect from competition)
16-18 million viewers (did you see that cliffhanger in hour four!?)

I am taking 24 to win. A six week break is only going to hurt Heroes (glad to see I'm not the only one that can spell it right Wink) and 24 is as action-packed as it gets.

Ratings are out. Heroes won viewers battle (very little impact) and beat 24 in 18-49 demo.

So... 6 weeks will hurt HEROS, but 7 months doesn't hurt "24"?

Good Argument?

Well, Heroes had a 6 week break within the season. 24 had a break between seasons. That's a whole lot different, imo. Breaks between seasons usually don't hurt as much as within, that's why they decided to lelt run 24 uninterrupted from January to May. And it paid out.

I'm glad there's enough viewers for both shows to be doing well and be considered "hits." How rare is it nowadays to have two quality shows going head to head?!!

I'm taking Heros to win. I think it's one of the best shows to come along in years!
