Why would the networks 'really care about' these numbers? The Live+same day preliminary numbers are the ones they use most for press spin. The C3 numbers are the ones they use to make their money off the advertisers.

If you add in the DVR factors, all of the shows are really showing no losses year-to-year.

I think that's something everyone on this forum needs to keep in mind, add say 5 million to American Idol for every Tuesday airing, because all those people are DVR'ing.

And that's what I keep saying, look at CSI:, it's up at 23 million with DVR usage included, really, nothing major lost. In fact, there could be a gain year-to-year.

If you are going to use Live+7 data this year, you need to compare it with live+7 data from last year in order to see if ratings went up or down. As for CSI, hard to say anything until Grey's Anatomy comes back from the strike.

I agree although I'm sure Live + 7 day was weaker last year. Nice to see strong same day viewership for HIMYM and BBT.
