I applaud any effort to make the digital subchannels more useful that a bunch of extra weather channels. On the other hand, this 'network' has less than a dozen stations nationally, so it has a very long way to go.
I notice that they call it a 'digital network', so they already know that they are going to be 'part of the problem' as us viewers want HD channels and all the cable/satellite systems want to offer us a bunch of extra lo-res digital channels instead. I wish the government would step in (since they control the airspace sales and regulate the cable/satellite 'monopoly' costs) and make the broadcasting/cable/satellite entities put out one truly HD channel rather than 4 subchannels full of garbage with the space they were given. That would be a far better use of the FCC time/resources than going after NYPD Blue for showing someone's bottom.
