Only days away from the start of the very first time Nielsen has done a Sweep in May.
This year, because of the DTC Conversion which was originally scheduled for February, the February Sweep was moved to March for one year only. Some broadcast networks and a few affiliates have groused that the Sweep doesn't matter, won't provide comparable data, etc., but all the same, the seven major broadcasters have put forward a mostly original Sweep line-up, which in and of itself is unusual for the month of March.
The 2009 February Sweep (in March) Prediction Game is just days away. This year, the Sweep runs from Thursday March 5th to Wednesday April 1st.
You may be wondering how did the top seven broadcast networks fare in the 2008 February Sweep last season?

FOX will be down, but that's mostly due to the Super Bowl last year.
CBS and MyNetworkTV will both be up by quite a bit over last years numbers, while the rest of the networks will be pretty steady to last year. NBC would have seen an improvement if it had skedded the ER finale within the Sweep.

The final results should be interesting. Difficult to compare this Sweep period to last years. March will be affected by Daylight Savings Time and lower HUT levels vrs last February.
