Tucker Cawley (the only writer on "Everybody Loves Raymond" to win an Emmy for writing on it -- not that he necessarily deserved it) wrote one of the four upcoming episodes. The only other chance I'll be giving "Captain" is that one, mostly because I'm curious as to whether or not it will be any better than "Play Nice," the pilot Cawley co-created which was about a thousand times better than "The Class" and "Rules of Engagment" and about a million times better than "Captain's" horrid premiere.
("Play Nice" was also executive produced by Phil Rosenthal. His third unsold pilot in a row for CBS. It's almost like they're telling him, "Thanks for giving us 9 seasons of big ratings and a bunch of Emmys. Bye!")
I thought Play Nice was a hunk of shit. Poorly written, poorly cast. Just awful.
I give WTTC 2 more episodes before CBS pulls it to air BBT re-runs until they're back with new episodes. BBT was doing better in 3rd run repeats!

But "The Class," "Rules and Engagment" and "Captain" are brilliant?
I thought it had a fun concept. Who doesn't like toys?

1. It only has 3 more episodes.
2. Considering it held basically all of its premiere audience, not to mention all of its lead-in, why would they pull it? Of course, it has no shot at another season due to "Big Bang" doing better -- and being better -- but once in a while, Moonvest and Tassler do actually manage to make it to the end of a scheduled run. (See "Cane.")
While I agree on the quality of the show, the fact that the numbers held up to last week's and with it's lead in, leads me to believe it will get its full run. Surprising as that may be.
