Sunday
7:00 COMEDY ENCORES
8:00 The Simpsons
8:30 American Dad (new time)
8:00 Family Guy
8:30 Back to You (new time)

[Put King of the Hill out to pasture. Save your one descent live action comedy and relocate American Dad.]

Monday
8:00 Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (Oct - Feb) / Dollhouse (Feb - June)
9:00 24 (season 7) / 24 (season 8)

[Since 24 got skipped because of the strike, double up on it. Then, let Sarah Connor run straight through and let your most promising project: Joss Whenon's Dollhouse take over during sweepts]

Tuesday
8:00 Bones / American Idol / Bones
9:00 House

[Keep Bones where it is. Just let it take a breather when Idol comes around. Then, start airing episodes again come May.]

Wednesday
8:00 Prison Break / Moment of Truth or NEW DRAMA OR REALITY / Prison Break
9:00 Kitchen Nightmares / Idol Results & Best New Sitcom

[Relocate Prison Break and break up the season like you did before and try and launch a new sitcom after Idol like you always do. I'm not sure if the novelty of Moment of Truth has longevity.]

Thursday
8:00 5th Grader
9:00 Don't Forget the Lyrics

[Thriving thanks to the writers strike. Keep it the same so maybe viewers won't go back to Grey's Anatomy and CSI.]

Friday
8:00 Nanny 911
9:00 Trading Spouses: Meet Your New Mommy

[Go back to something that wasn't a ratings back hole.]

Saturday
8:00 Cops
8:30 Cops
9:00 America's Most Wanted

[Hasn't changed in a long time]

Sunday
8:00 Simpsons
8:30 King of the Hill
9:00 Family Guy
9:30 American Dad

Monday
8:00 SCC
9:00 24(run two season for year round)

Tuesday
8:00 new drama/American Idol
9:00 House

Wednesday
8:00 Back To You
8:30 'Til Death/American Idol Results
9:00 Prison Break(13 episode order)/new comedy
9:30 Prison Break/'Til Death

Thursday
8:00 5th Grader
9:00 Moment of Truth

Friday
8:00 DFTL
9:00 Bones

If the new drama is successful I would move it to Sunday. It would then look like this on Sundays:
7:00 King of the Hill
7:30 American Dad
8:00 Simpsons
8:30 Family Guy
9:00 new drama

I'd also get two more dramas and one more comedy for midseason. I think SCC will probably get pulled by midseason on this schedule. Also, Kitchen Nightmares should be used to fill spots.

Sunday
7:00 THE OT / Animated Comedy Encores
8:00 Sarah Connor Chronicles
9:00 24 (two seaons)

I know it seems crazy to move the comedies, but Sarah was huge after football.

Monday
8:00 Back 2 You
8:30 Til Death
9:00 Bones

Comedies against CBS's and Bones not upagainst a CBS crime drama.

Tuesday
8:00 Dollhouse / American Idol
9:00 House MD

Dollhoue and House, two shows with the word House in them, on the same night makes me smile. Plus, Tuesdays at 8pm is when Joss Whenon's Buffy was on.

Wednesday
8:00 Simpsons
8:30 King of the Hill (13 episode order) / Idol Results
9:00 Family Guy
9:30 American Dad

We put comedies on when nobody else is airing them. King of the Hill gets a little more milage and Family Guy guts a huge push.

Thursday
8:00 5th Grader
9:00 Don't Forget the Lyrics

Friday
8:00 Moment of Truth
9:00 Prison Break

We go back to all reality. Maybe transplanting Truth can help. It worked with 5th Grader. It Truth or Prison Break goes belly up, then slap Nanny 911 or Tradding Spouces in it's place.

Best schedule proposed yet. I don't feel there's any reason though to switch KotH and American Dad. I do however, like the move of the comedies to 9pm on Wed. to start and using the stronger Kitchen Nightmares as the lead.

There are some interesting choices. FOX has loaded up on high profile pilots that will air in the fall. FOX also plays favorites (The Loop, The War at Home etc). It's going to be very pilot heavy.

Sundays

7:00 Football OT/Animation repeats
8:00 Simpsons
8:30 King of the Hill
9:00 Family Guy
9:30 American Dad

Monday

8:00 Bones
9:00 The FBI

Tuesday

8:00 Fringe
9:00 House

Wednesday

8:00 The Oaks
9:00 Back 2 You
9:30 New Comedy (Hackett?)

Thursday

8:00 Are You Smarter than A 5th Grader
9:00 Kitchen Nightmares

Friday

8:00 African-American demo leaning drama/comedy
9:00 K-Ville

Saturday

8:00 Cops
8:30 Cops
9:00 America's Most Wanted

Mid-Season/Replacements: 24, Prison Break, Moment of Truth (if the ratings hold up), Don't Forget the Lyrics

The way SCC is losing viewers with an expensive episode price tag, it has no chance of coming back. Especially with two (three if you count The Oaks) highly noted sci fi projects on the horizon that will air.

Trading Spouses/Nanny 911 is summer filler. Unless its used as a replacement for a show that tanks, it should stay in the summer.

Til Death drags the schedule down. Time to junk it.

One thing to note, New Amsterdam may become a cult hit. If so, due to the fact that it is very cheap to produced to most of their other dramas, it will be back. Possibly mid-season again.

Keep dreaming K-Ville, this is never going to happen. Terminator has a much much better shot at returning than K-Ville and Prison Break will still be on the fall schedule too. I also think Til Death will get a different timeslot for those final new eps (perhaps even behind Idol) and will return. I don't see Fox bringing out more than 2 new dramas next fall seeing as how strong reality has been for them. Two dramas on Monday and Tuesday and maybe two on Friday if Bones gets moved there.

See I tend to disagree. Even through the strike, FOX has been pumping up funding and publicity for The Oaks, The FBI, and Fringe. Every intention is to add them to the fall lineup. With the money allocated to those projects, I would be shocked if they are held back. FOX wants to go out there with a bang in Fall 08.

Prison Break needs a breather. It's lost over 2 million since last season. Putting it on the fall again risks oversaturation.

As for reality, DFTL doesn't do as well as AYSTA5thG and is the weak link. It's too early to see how Moment of Truth does. I'm betting on a quick decline. Nashville and Anchorwoman tanked and I don't have high hopes for When Women Rule the World.

If anything, pulling Prison Break will only make more people tune out when it returns. As for DFTL, its been Fox's best Thursday 9pm performer in a very very long time. These high profile project will only be on the air if the strike ends soon enough for all of them to be launched. Still, I don't see more than 2 new dramas this fall and I think Fox will be willing to give Back to You and Til Death another season.

Dollhouse to me sounds like FOX's best new series. [a Joss Whedon (Angel, Firefly) drama about the members of a group of men and women who are imprinted with different personalities for different assignments staring Eliza Dushku (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Tru Calling)] because it's action and sci-fi. Plus, 7 episodes have already been ordered.

As for The Oaks, a relationship drama, on FOX... sure it has a twist involving ghost, but the only scucessful relationship drama on FOX that I recall had longevity was Melrose Place. I guess you could count The OC, but it started strong and then started hemorrhaging viewers.

Fringe I could maybe see getting a spot because of J.J. Abrams's involvement. If 24 ends up doing two season back to back, I don't think it'll happen unless Moment of Truth's novelty wears off.

FOX has pretty much gotten rid of it's weakest players:

* K-Ville
* Nashville
* The Next Great American Band

I think with almost 100% certainty that the following will be back:
* 24
* American Dad!
* American Idol
* America's Most Wanted
* Back to You <-- okay rating and FOX is behind it
* Bones
* COPS
* Family Guy
* House
* King of the Hill <-- better than a coin toss, odds are FOX doesn't want to risk it
* Kitchen Nightmares
* Prison Break
* 'Til Death <-- because somebody at FOX loves it
* The Simpsons
* The Sarah Connor Chronicles

Unless Canterbury's Law, New Amsterdam, The Return of Jezebel James, or Unhitched is a summer sensation like Don't Forget the Lyrics, I don't see any of them getting a fall slot, so really the space for new shows is limited.

Has anyone seen New Amsterdam yet, the concept sounds mildly interesting, but I don't know about the execution...can anyone comment?

I agree with this statement. In my opinion, Fox will be very safe this fall and the only show that is remotely iffy yet is T:SCC. Still, I think that show will remain above 8 million and that's all it will need to stay another season or at least 13 episodes. I think King of the Hill will be back for what is probably a final season as well, unless it sees another spike in viewership, which it has time and time again when cancellation is nearing. The difference is that this time its not in the deathly 7:30pm or 7pm slot on Sundays anymore. Its now at 8:30pm on Sundays, a much better timeslot and ratings haven't improved all that much.

My revised schedule and thoughts.

Sundays
7:00 Football OT/Animation repeats
8:00 Simpsons
8:30 King of the Hill
9:00 Family Guy
9:30 American Dad

I think FOX will keep it the way it is, but if King of the Hill goes, I think that American Dad will take that slot and HACKETT will follow Family Guy.

Monday
8:00 Sarah Connor
9:00 24 / FRINGE
I think Sarah Connor will move up a spot and 24 will go, but only 1 season, so it doesn't get over saturated. Then, the big JJ Abrams FBI project will get that spot.

Tuesday
8:00 DOLLHOUSE / American Idol
9:00 House
FOX has their heart set on moving Bones and Dollhouse seems like it'd have a younger audience than House.

Wednesday
8:00 Kitchen Nightmares / Moment of Truth
9:00 Back 2 You / Idol Results
9:30 Til Death
Fox plays favorites, so this would ensure Til Death the most security.

Thursday
8:00 Are You Smarter than A 5th Grader
9:00 Don't Forget the Lyrics
I don't think anything on this night will change.

Friday
8:00 Bones
9:00 Prison Break
Leftovers.

Saturday
8:00 Cops
8:30 Cops (repeat)
9:00 America's Most Wanted

Mid-Season/Replacements: The OAKS, SMILE! YOU'RE UNDER ARREST, HACKETT
, Trading Spouses, Nanny 911, So You Think You Can Dance

I think, ratings-wise, American Dad is the weaker of the 4 'toons on FOX. Place it in between the two Big Dogs and it might get a little more sampling. KOtH is 10+ years old and should be able to help itself with a 9:30 slot

Good point but in terms of flow, I don't think Family Guy to King of the Hill is the best. Still, KotH has been losing a good chunk of its lead in for a while. If a new animated show is available, I say that goes at 9:30 and KotH returns post-football at 7:30 behind Simpsons/FG repeats.
