Interesting. I have no clue who those three actors are. I'll have to do some IMDB searching.

Maybe this comes from too many repeats of The Practice on HULU, but I have serious doubts that Big Shots will be coming back why not Dylan McDermott as PAUL BALLARD?
And how about reuniting him with Lara Flynn Boyle to play the ice queen ADELLE DEWITT? She and Lucy Lawless both have that pale skin and hypnotic icey blue eyes.

Tahmoh Penikett will play an FBI agent, and Fran Kranz is set as an amoral computer programmer. Like Dushku, and Enver Gjokaj are set to play "dolls," people whose memories can be manipulated in order to help them complete various missions.

Adelle Dewitt: The fortyish iceberg who runs the Dollhouse where the human Etch-a-Sketches reside. 40 something, any ethnicity, beautiful, sophisticated, cold as an alp. Runs the Dollhouse with an efficiency that is both ruthless and protective. Would die before she showed anyone how lonely she is.
Lara Flynn Boyle is 38 and plays cool and collected amazingly well as we saw on The Practice!
Lucy Lawless is 39 and to be honest would bring even more eyes to the show with her Xena following.
Yes, both actresses aren't in their 40s, but they are close and maybe Adelle moisturizes really well!
Boyd Langton: Echo's handler and father figure. Late 40s-60, any ethnicity, gruff, about to make the descent from 'good-looking' to 'fatherly'. An ex-cop, Boyd is Echo's 'handler' - her guard/bodyguard. Hates himself for taking this job, but he'd lay down his life to protect the people he feels he's exploiting.
Victor Garber is 59 and he really shined when he was in Alias and it'd be nice for him to play something other than a lawyer.
Enrico Colantoni is 45 and Joss was/is a huge Veronica Mars fan, so why not have him?
Lou Diamond Phillips is 45 and he's done so many great films, but hasn't had much luck with TV. Maybe a Joss Whedon series can be the one that works.
November: The Tracy Turnblad of the Dolls. 20's, any ethnicity, beautiful and heavy. Another Doll, a hopeful child in the house and everyone else you need her to be outside. A comforting, radiant presence, who tends to get fewer of the criminal gigs and more of the personal ones.
Sara Rue is 29 and while she has slimmed down since playing Carmen on Popular and Claude on Less than Perfect, Joss had Jewel Staite gain weight for her Firefly role, so he can mandate it again. Plus, she's already worked with Eliza before. Plus, the show needs a redhead!
Tina Majorino is 23 and since November is recurring she can still keep her recurring part on Big Love like she did with Mac on Veronica Mars. She might have to gain some weight also.
Dr. Claire Sanders: The beautiful older woman with whom Topher is smitten. 30-60, attractive, smart and a little sad. Looks after the physical well-being of the dolls. Has an acid wit that she usually reserves for Topher, who may only be kidding about being smitten with her. (Or he may not).
Gina Torres is 28 and Joss hired her twice! Plus, the acid wit part screams her.
Amy Acker is 31 and both Joss and Tim have hired her, so she must be doing something right.
To make it clear to everybody, these are actual castings, announced on the Hollywood Reporter, whereas the rest of the posts are who we would like to see in it. So far, I like the ones we want to see on it much more than who they actually cast in it...

"Battlestar Galactica" co-star Tahmoh Penikett, Fran Kranz ("Welcome to the Captain"), Australian Dichen Lachman and Enver Gjokaj have moved into Joss Whedon's "Dollhouse."
The four join Eliza Dushku on the 20th Century Fox TV-produced drama, which received a seven-episode order shortly before the strike.
"Dollhouse" revolves around a group of young men and women, aka "Dolls," who are imprinted with different personalities for different assignments. They have no memories of their previous lives, until Echo (Dushku) begins to try to find out who she was.
Penikett will play Paul Smith, an FBI field agent obsessed with the urban myth of Dollhouse and a twisted romantic foil for Echo.
Kranz will play Topher Brink, a twentysomething genius programmer responsible for imprinting the dolls.
Lachman will play Sierra, a doll like Echo and her friend, who has every personality in the world but her own.
Gjokaj will play Victor, also a doll and a friend of Echo's, who is childlike when he's inactive, and everything from Errol Flynn to young DeNiro when he's active.

That is a weird casting list, almost as bad as Bionic Woman. Since its HR, it's legit but they definately did not pick obvious choices. Those actors must have done one good test shoot.

I like the idea of a mixed race character especially a half-Asian one [ http://psychologytoday.com/articles/pto-20051221-000001.html ], but I'd have preferred Kristen Bell or Leslie Bibb for Sierra. I'm anxious to see who else gets picked and for the pilot to get leaked to the web....
