I assume you're talking about Thursday. In that case, I'd say 1/2 hour results, new comedy, new drama. The other option and perhaps this would be a better option would be new comedy against Earl with Idol pre-tune in to hurt Earl and then Idol results to crush 30 Rock as well as get people to tune out of Survivor/Betty and then a new drama at 9. It would probably have to be New Amsterdam or Sarah Connor so it wouldn't completely clash with Greys and CSI.

Because FOX already has an immovable foothold on Tuesday and Wednesday with Idol there. The other nets have to adjust to Idol as it is now. The show FOX needs to move to Thursday is House, not Idol.

Immovable foothold? In TV programming? Nothing is or should be immovable. The Idol is such a monster - it generates its own publicity just by the act of the schedule change. It will flatten the Thursday competition. There's no risk really moving that one. Any other show suffers from hop scotching over the schedule - Bones did in its first season, House didn't do all that great on Fridays. Both Bones & House shall perform their best together - on Tuesday (a bit of publicity please Fox as well?). AI would kill probably even on Fridays (and I am far from a fan - it's just an observation)

I agree. If anything. That would create some stability given all the schedule changes they have planned in January.

Yeah, I agree with A_lex89. I've asked that question for a long time now.

I thought that THEM could be a really cool scifi show. Even a reviewer said that its pilot was the best he had seen since Prison Break. I'm hoping for a midseason pickup if Fox continues to axe more of its new shows.

I'm starting to become convinced on moving Idol to Wednesday/Thursday. The Bones/House combo is working well together on Tuesday.

Move AI to Wed/thurs, AND... Make Bones the leadout program after The Super Bowl.
