Well, here it is. This is my January and Feburary FOX schedule beginning the week of Jan. 13th. FOX needs to improve their schedule over last winter. If they move "House" away from "American Idol", they would clear the after-"Idol" slots to feature new programming.
SUNDAY
(Jan. 13th only) 8:00 pm - 10:00pm ET/PT "24" -- Two hour season premiere (FOX announced)
*** I've assumed the following: 1. "K-Ville" will be cancelled soon. 2. A preference not to air repeats Sun-Thurs from Jan 13th 'til the end of Feb. 3. "Back to You" and "Til Death" will be bench or cancelled 4 A preference to use the after-"Idol" slots to launch new programming.

The FOX problem is that they have good ratings between January and May thanks to American Idol, 24, House and the post-American Idol time slots, but between September and December there is only House who can make more than 10 million viewers.
Referencing the 1st schedule in this thread (I don't want to quote it), the ratings will look real good if you run Idol every night. At least for now. And if I'm looking at it correctly House isn't airing in Janurary and Bones isn't airing at all. FOX needs to develop other shows and not just focus on Idol.
Dump K-Ville and bump Bones to Mondays and have it air until March when Prison Break returns.

Let's try something new. House has no need for the Idol lead in, so let's try a new drama.
WEDNESDAY 8:00-8:30 PM BACK TO YOU 8:30-9:00 PM ’TIL DEATH 9:00-10:00 PM AMERICAN IDOL
Take that Private Practice! The comedies stay in place and get a little pre-Idol tune in and the Idol juggernaut takes out the competition in the spot formerly filled by another reality show creating stability.
THURSDAY 8:00-9:00 PM 5th GRADER 9:00-9:30 PM AMERICA IDOL: RESULTS 9:00-10:00 PM JEZEBEL JAMES
5th Grader stays. Idol results come in to an hour once filled by another singing show against Grey's Anatomy & CSI & the Office. Jezebel James gets a stellar lead in and only has to compete with the soon to be canceled Scrubs.
We're trying a new drama here and one of two reality shows we know that pull in pretty okay ratings.

We'll keep this just the way FOX has it planned. Come fall, we might keep it his way.
