"STANDOFF TO STEAM UP SUMMER FRIDAYS BEGINNING JUNE 8
Season Three of HELL'S KITCHEN, the juicy competition where a kitchen-full of wannabe restaurateurs try to impress mercurial master chef Gordon Ramsay and win a shot at culinary stardom, now premieres on FOX's summer menu Monday, June 4 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), instead of the previously announced June 25.
Leading into HELL'S KITCHEN on Monday nights will be the weekly "Film Premiere episodes of the new movie-making competition ON THE LOT from Mark Burnett and Steven Spielberg. ON THE LOT's special two-night series premiere airs Tuesday, May 22 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) following AMERICAN IDOL and Thursday, May 24 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) following the season premiere of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. After a special two-hour episode on Monday, May 28 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), the ON THE LOT "Film Premiere show will begin airing in its regular time period Monday, June 4 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX an hour earlier than previously announced.
Following the weekly ON THE LOT "Box Office results show, which will premiere in its regular time period Tuesday, June 5 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT), FOX summer Tuesdays will continue with freshman comedy TIL DEATH, making its time period premiere Tuesday, June 5 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), and the award-winning hit drama HOUSE (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).
STANDOFF, the suspenseful drama about two FBI crisis negotiators played by Ron Livingston and Rosemarie DeWitt who are paired both professionally and romantically, returns to the FOX schedule this summer. All-new episodes will air Fridays (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) after FOX's popular drama BONES (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), starting June 8.

Gosh I recall about 2 other "acting" type of shows that had totally bombed (and I wouldn't be surprised if there were more I spaced on). One was The Next Big Action Star and the other was... oh I forget, but it bombed to. Perhaps with Burnett & Spielberg involved, this one will do better, but I have my doubts.

I not a "reality" tv fan, but I will check out The Lot just because Burnett & Spielberg are involved.

I'll give *On the Lot* a looksee, primarily to check out how involved on-screen Spielberg is, but I'm curious how this is going to work. Movie-making can be a dull process (which is the problem I had with Project Greenlight -- intriguing concept but the end result bored me), and I'm wondering how they're going to make it interesting.
The second show you were thinking about xwiseguyx was the WB's *The Starlet,* which I believed rewarded the winner with a guest shot on *One Tree Hill*. Said winner of that show hasn't worked since, and one Web site reported she's working at an LA restaurant.
