WHat is the deal with American Dad. First they give it a "Time Period Premiere" on Sunday at 7pm, then a couple of weeks later, they are giving it a "Time Period Premiere" for Thursday at 9:30pm.

They're both repeats. Originals will continue on Sundays at 9:30, once the Winner finishes up next week. Fox is simply keeping the program on the air during its short break from new episodes.

Repeats of Family Guy

Repeats of Family Guy is a weird call, since I thought the whole hook with the Foxworthy show was that it was "family friendly." Wouldn't they want to keep that momentum going out of Foxworthy? Especially since there aren't many "family"-type shows on any network on Thursday nights.

I love Family Guy, but coming out of Foxworthy, a House repeat would be a (marginally) better call.

But, it's Fox, and they don't have anything family friendly besides Idol, I guess, so...I get that.

Hey, at least Family Guy has the word "Family" in the title! Big Grin

What is so family friendly about Dr. House? Frankly, Fox has no family comedies, the War at Home included. I would've liked to see the Loop get this timeslot. I found that comedy to be enjoyable last year. Sadly, its getting the burnoff treatment this summer.

Fox needs to cut down on the number of House repeats they air. If they continue at this pace it will definately become overexposed

Meh. I know, not much.

I thought it would be a marginally better call than Family Guy but it's really probably pretty much the same.

You're right, other than Idol, they really don't have any other family anything.

Well, wait...maybe Nanny 911? They could blow out one of those after Fifth Grader, maybe?

I like the idea of Nanny 911 and Trading Spouses after Fifth Grader. They are all very compatible together.

That actually may not be a bad idea. It wont challenge for a top 2 spot, but it could grow and defeat NBC and the CW.

Yes, it would be excellent counter-programming. Family Guy and American Dad repeats will skew much more similarly to NBC and will have more hurt from the Greys/CSI monsters than Nanny 911 and Trading Spouses.
