Well, at least BBT went up to a 4.7/11 from a 4.5/10 in the finals.

You knew I couldn't resist. Big Grin

It is amazing any of these shows got what they did last night going up against the most watched cable event in history of MNF and its 21.8 viewers.

It's amazing how House or the CBS shows got those numbers against extreme competition. I suppose most of those watching football don't regurarly watch the main networks on mondays

If Lauren Graham joins Parenthood, I think that would be a huge advantage to the show. I could definately see a lot of buzz and interest at least for the first episode.

DWTS drops .2 week to week. Castle holds. I think Mr. Fillion and company are nearing a full season order. ABC will probably want to see what the Bachelor will do for it as a lead in (the Bachelor likely being a stronger demo performer).

The W18-34 demo numbers are why One Tree Hill ends this year and GG continues. Perhaps Cdub will also can Melrose Place and simply pair up 90210 and GG together on Monday next year, especially if Life Unexpected manages to find an audience. That would leave room for 2-3 new shows (depending on Smallville, which could simply get replaced for reality on Fridays).

Last nights episode was not very good either. Yes, most sitcoms have lots of sexual references in their episodes, but this had a lot of UNFUNNY sexual references. It came across as pathetic and almost disgusting. it had not heart or good qualities to it.

I would not be surprised to se a BIGGER drop next week from HIMYM.

AOP is dead as a doornail. The question is how much patience does CBS have for it? Three Rivers will be the first cancellation for sure (for CBS) but I think this show's time on the air depends on how the Good Wife holds up. CBS does not want to have 3 failures on their hands, even if NCIS has done well and Medium has held/grew out of GW. Some of this is a PR thing too. Nobody wants stories about how they canned 3 shows in one week.

Do you think CBS will let it air its 13 episodes? Will they attempt the swap with Gary? I think it may get 13 (but not air in November) and then end in December/early January with Rules coming out either in late January or after the Olympics.

The CW needs to diversify the types of shows they have. It seems like the CW thinks the only types of shows that draw in W18-34 is about rich spoiled sluts. Putting Gossip Girl and 90210 together might be a good idea then have a Tuesday have more normal dramas.

As for Smallville, as long as it makes the WB alot of money(DVD sales, itunes) and gets decent ratings per CW standards I am guessing it will get a 10th season.

I know Lucy is one of your all-time fav's, but I think it is one of the more over rate comedies of all time.

I say they swap it with Gary, but remember this is the network that let Worst Week air for 15 new episodes when it was holding only 60-70% of the Men lead in. AOP is holding over 80% of HIMYM. Something tells me CBS will be more patient with AOP then we might be. Also remember Three Rivers is going to have to be canned in the next few weeks, and I don't think they will want to cancel two of their four new series in the first month or two of the season.
