I'm surprised that CBS actually thought moving Pirate Master to a 10pm slot after Big Brother would help ratings. It was a foolish move.

In all honesty, reality into reality was a good plan and Big Brother was a good lead in for Rockstar and the Amazing Race before, so that's probably what they were hoping for. Its too bad, I kind of liked the show, if only to scream at how dumb the contestants were.

I'm also thinking that CBS also saw the final eps and maybe it's not too eventful. I recall seeing the final episodes of another show the only other CBS reality show that never aired to the end called "The Will". I was able to catch the rest of the episodes online and it was a horrible horrible ending.

In all honesty, it was a bad plan as explained when the move was announced. As for Rockstar, why do you keep acting like that show was a success? It wasn't. It was a mediocre ratings performer.
x, my friend. That was Obveeus that posted that. Just wanted to make that clear.

CBS also pulled the "Armed and Famous" early as well, though that one was a noncompetition reality series.

Well more people watch TV at 10pm than at 8pm and as I mentioned before, reality into reality is good in terms of audience flow. As for Rockstar, it was a solid performer in the demo. Its funny how you trash these low rated programs but stick up for trash like Girlfriends, which has clearly overstayed its welcome or it wouldn't have lost 30% of its audience this past season.

I believe Armed and Famous also ended up online or perhaps aired on one of CBS's sister cable nets like VH1 or MTV.

This is a really simple concept. You claimed ratings would go up with the timeslot move. I claimed the timeslot move would hurt ratings. You were wrong. Why continue to claim that it was a good move when the facts have proven you wrong?

Your definition of 'solid' is incorrect.

Funny how you don't have an ability to differentiate between different network situations. If you want to talk about sitcom ratings drops on CW you would at least have to look at the drop for all of the sitcoms on CW. Then, you would have to look at the alternatives available to CW. You have failed to do that or you would not have attempted to go off topic with yet another weak arguement.
In terms of the timeslot, where else would the network have moved it to try to make it a success? Its not like they were going to move a bunch of shows around to help it. Big Brother was really the only option it had. Secondly, Rockstar's demo numbers were as good as Big Brothers and in many cases outdid Brother last summer. The main reason its not returning is the fact that the band's CD sales weren't very good and I'm guessing they had trouble finding a band. In fact, I believe the Rockstar webpage is still up on CBS.com. As for the CW comedies, I agree that all the comedies stink, but you constantly are trying to prop up those comedies when there is nothing to promote. As for alternatives to the CW comedies, there was Reba, which I'm sure would've done much better if in one of those timeslots. I know you'll go off and claim it was dead yada yada yada, but the reality was that the cast would've continued with the show and it would still be successful today. The fact that it can outrate the comedies on Monday in the summer on Sundays at 7:30 (poor night overall and poor timeslot) means it would've easily outdone them on Monday. As for going off topic, I was simply showing you how unnecessarily rude you are to programs that don't necessarily fit your taste.
True -I was thinking in terms of competition types of Reality shows, but this was definitely another one in the Reality genre.
