I agree totally. In fact, overall I like the shows on NBC much more than those on any other network. I regularly watch seven shows on NBC (Chuck, Heroes, Journeyman, 30 Rock, the Office, ER, Friday Night Lights) compared to two on CBS (Cane and Big Bang Theory), none on ABC (one when Lost starts), three on Fox (Simpsons, King of the Hill, and Family Guy (4 when 24 starts), and one on CW (Reaper). Besides proving I watch too much TV, this shows that NBC is my favorite network.
The surprising thing about NBC is that at the end of the day 'Life' is probably their best new show and I don't think they spent .50cents at the start of the season promoting it. BW has been an absolute bust to this point. I'm still watching Journeyman and it's a shame Heroes can't pull it's own weight to get more eyes on JMan. Although apparently Jman forgot to read the lost playbook on how to keep viewers... failing to reveal answers = lost viewers....
I would argue that ABC has a far superior lineup to NBC's new shows but I will say that Life is not getting a chance in hell on Wed. with Bionic Woman as the lead in. It will be interesting to see it paired with Heroes. Its too bad for NBC that they didn't have a 9pm crime show somewhere to pair with it. Hell, Medium into this on Fridays probably would've done as well as the current Friday disaster with 1 vs. 100 as the lead in. Then Las Vegas could air Sundays after football along with Friday Night Lights and Criminal Intent repeats leading in. Could've had Chuck, DOND, Law and Order Wednesdays and DOND, Heroes, and Bionic Woman on Mondays. Tuesdays could've been Biggest Loser, JMan, and SVU. When JMan fails, go with extra BL. I also think The Singing Bee could be a Friday night show with 1 vs. 100 replacing say the Wednesday DOND.

Love your list, but why should the Simpson's be retired when the ratings are still great and it's still better than most things on TV?

WHAT??? the bachelor chose no one, I still didnt see the finale, I DVRed it and me and my girlfriend were supposed to watch it later, so after all this time watching that piece of sh** show(my gf made me watch it), there is not even a winner, then what was the point of the show anyway?
I just have to say that the women on the show are absolutely pathetic, they are so desperate, and they embarrase themselves over and over for one guy, while he dates other women in front of them, they just really seem dumb and never say anything remotely interesting, so if I was him, I wouldnt have probably chosen anyone either
that being said, the bachelor himself seems really dumb and naive, plus he is very biased, so the women are also well off
My top 10 (in order) (1) Greys Anatomy (2) Pushing Daisies (3) Lost (4) Desperate Housewives (5) Brothers & Sisters (6)Ugly Betty (7) Private Practice (8) Friday Night Lights; (9) Heroes (10) House (11)runnerup:Samantha Who?

Wow that is truly impressive numbers for Dexter. That just shows this show is irresistable

I love how people say "there wasn't a winner". All of those women are winners- they get to live their lives without that dishonest jerk.
None of the women on those dating shows go on them to find 'true love'. They are all looking to launch/further entertainment careers. If people watch the show, then all of the contestants are 'winners'.

From TV guide:
Sunday's installment of Dexter was the most-watched episode of a Showtime series ever. It drew 1.23 million viewers at 9 pm/ET and a total of 1.63 million when you add in its 11 pm broadcast. It was also up a whopping 41 percent from the previous week.

I don't blame the bachelor. If my options were hooking up with someone here or choosing none of the above, I wouldn't have to think for so much as a nanosecond on that one.
Seriously, what's with all the dunceosity around here lately? First you've got pisher trying to proclaim that animated series are done by having the animators do the animation first, after which the voice actors tack on the dialogue tracks by following the lip movements of the animation (Ridiculous! Though decidedly not serious.) Then there's Philo who apparently registered just so he could let me know that I was wrong when I thought Bill Prady was a cool dude for backhandedly speaking out against this pointless strike that, just like the last one, is the WGA's to lose. (Okay, Philo. You've shown me the light. Prady is a brainwashed lemming just like the rest of the guild. You win.) Then Philo continues by being aghast that I would dare to suggest that a brand-new -- and very vulnerable -- show might make a concession or two during a potentially-long strike by shooting completed scripts that the actors are ready, willing and able to tape. (Network note to Philo: I don't care how much studio audience feedback a four-camera sitcom gets. No amount of rewriting will make the jokes on "Til Death" or "Rules of Engagement" funny.) Then -- but wait! Philo is not done. Yes, Philo must point out how "How I Met Your Mother" is produced. Like, why would I bring up that stupid show into a conversation that doesn't even concern it except to point out that, gee, maybe I know how it's produced? (Second note to Philo: the pilot was done with a live audience, by the way. Bays and Thomas kicked them out when it went to series.) Finally, you've got Obveeus who has lots of great points to make. For instance, did you know "The Big Bang Theory" doesn't do well when it builds on the "How I Met Your Mother" lead-in? And that it does do well when it drops from it?
Happy holidays! I can't stand most of you, and I'm not surprised why Gee left!
