ABC Maintains 0.2 Lead in A18-49 After 19 Days of the 2007 November Sweep
With only nine days remaining in the November Sweep, ABC continues to hold a 0.2 lead over CBS in the young adult demo with a first place 3.6 A18-49 average. CBS is second with an average 3.4 in A18-49, while NBC is in third with a 3.2 average in A18-49 and FOX follows close behind with a 3.1 in A18-49. The CW is in fifth with a 1.2 in A18-49 with MyNetworkTV bringing up the rear with its 0.4 in A18-49.
In households and viewership, CBS has a comfortable lead over ABC with NBC in third, FOX fourth, The CW trailing in fifth and MyNetworkTV bringing up the rear in sixth.
On a year-over-year basis, FOX and MyNetworkTV are the only networks consistently showing year-over-year improvement from the first day of the Sweep. The other four networks are mostly down in that 15% territory which is being widely blamed on time-shifted viewing. The most concerning year-over-year declines are being experienced by NBC and The CW, which are both losing about a fifth to a quarter of their demo, households and viewers from last November.

OC--look under 8PM and find NBC and then 8:30 and find NBC. That is the timeslot for Chuck. The numbers will be an average of these two numbers together and divided by 2. Looks like it got a 4.5 and 4.7in households in those two half hours. You can figure out the rest.

Originally posted by TK: I thought it was the best Heroes of the season last night. Finally a little action. And it looks like more of the same next week.
Agreed, TK. I've been very critical of Heroes all year, and while last night paled in comparison to (the somewhat similar in A-plot) Company Man... I'll take it.
And nice shout out to a S1 cliffhanger by the show!

What has happened to The CW on Monday. Those numbers are very slim for originals.
Aliens in America does not seem to be flowing well in the midst of the Monday night comedies. Perhaps The CW should consider making its move to Sundays at 7:30 pm permanent and doubling up the Everybody Hates Chris at the 8-9 pm hour on Mondays (one repeat and one original).
In other ratings from Monday night, I was very pleased to see Chuck stay in the 3's in demo, and both Heroes and Samantha Who demonstrated their young adult prowess. I have a sense that Samantha Who is going to do very well for ABC at 9 pm next Monday.
Of concern are those Journeyman numbers because the show is very well executed and a pleasure to watch. All four NBC freshperson series this year are keepers in my mind, but diven the ratings, Journeyman will be the hardest sell to executives at the Peacock for any further episode orders once the writers pick up their pens.
