I did see WIPEOUT and I really liked it. A nice blend of humor and an actual competition. Cant wait to see more.

I thought it was going to be like Wipeout but it's not.
I really really liked Wipeout. Fun show.
I watched Family Feud and Hell's, but I did DVR Wipeout and Game Show. Should I just delete Game Show and skip it all together? Hopefully Wipeout is good as you say.

As long as my fellow school bus rider Shawn Mayer (we grew up together- yes I'm excited about this) stays, I'll keep watching. I do think a few of the younger stars have talent, but the older ones will be the ones to shine.
Agreed. Was it a game show or a documentary? I wished they showed more action and less chit-chat from the contestants. It was surprisingly boring. I didn't get to see "Wipeout", though.

I thought Japanese Game Show was OK. Not as good as WIPEOUT, but still entertaining. Its kind of fun to see the TV culture of Japan as you watch the competition of the show.
Japanese Game Show is more like a a "Survivor" Point of view "Alliances, strategy, contestant interviewes, but the game play is on an actual Japanese game show. The cultural shock of the players is part of the fun aspect of watching, IMO.

Wipeout is a straight competition show that involves major obstical courses.
They start with 24 contestants each game. 12 are eliminated after the first event. 6 more are eliminated after the 2nd event. The 3rd event brings the field down to 4 players, which compete for the $50K prise money that week.
The fun part of the show is the commentary by the announcers. They are there to not just give you the action play-by-play, but to make fun too.
The events are pretty challenging. Most of the players were pretty worn out by the time they finished the event. Some would even quit before finishing. Very physically demanding.

Feel free to offer a followup post on this when you find out that you are wrong about the cliffhanger resolution.

So the idea is similar to the one on the last event of Gladiators, right? That's the only part i watch on AG so 60 minutes of even better obstcle courses might not be bad.
