If The Mole can't make it in its 10:00 timeslot, Fear Itself on Thursday should be worried. Initial interest seemed to be higher for The Mole than Fear Itself.
The Mole has a better lead-in too. The Bachelorette is still rather weak, but LCS does worse.
I'm also worried about Swingtown. Scripted shows in the summer? But I think it has a better chance than Fear Itself since it has CSI as a lead-in.

I agree that 10pm is an odd timeslot for it -- it seems like a show, as with The Amazing Race, that would be a family-watching-together type of show. So an 8pm, or even 9pm timslot would make more sense.
And I agree, it's too earlier to called it DOA -- give it a chance and at a minimum enjoy its summer return. I can't believe people jumping off a waterfall for a bag of money was not interesting enough for them...
As I wrote my earlier post, I realized that a new Extreme Makeover: Home Edition would be a perfect lead-in for The Mole. The Amazing ace has done well on Sundays, and the DH and Brother & Sisters repeats are performing very poorly on Sundays. Typically ABC has a few new EM:HE episodes that they run periodically over the summer: I say use them to re-launch The Mole in a new Sunday @ 9pm timeslot, pushing back DH reruns to 10pm...
BTW, the Wipeout previews look great, and since it's got an 8pm timeslot, I think it will prove successful...

I disagree. It's rather boring and the comedy is good for hardly anything.
i agree with marc, the show has gotten very funny...i'm almost surprised at it...the writers focus now on "puddy" rather then the little blond dude...

I agree. However, the reality sub-genre I'd really liketa see dead is the dating-relationship one. I hope we've seen the last of "The Bachelor", & "Bachelorette" is in its death throes.(Not that I watch either one, anyway, but it'd be nice to have a better choice on ABC.)

Be sure to catch the Season 2 Finale when it repeats later in the summer. It is one of the better episodes (if not the best) of the young comedy.
If no one does the tuesday night numbers tomarrow,
when you come back will you post them.
I can post them, I know how to start the thread and can have the numbers up by 9-10am (pacific time) unless the ratings/demos are delayed...
btw, i tried to start up a conversation (private one) but it said i needed permission (see below)

I gave it a chance. Unfortunately, by these numbers the viewers ignored The Mole and didn't give it a chance. I hope Wipeout, I Survived A Japanese Game Show, HSM: Brat Invasion or whatever its called now, can pick up the numbers.
In season-premiere news, the return of ABC’s The Mole after a four year absence (and without the “D” list celebrities) generated minimal interest, with a last-place 4.73 million viewers and a 2.0/ 6 among adults 18-49.
I am SHOCKED at these numbers. I watched it and right away was hooked. The tone of both the show and the host were in line with the successful first two seasons with AC as host, vice the less successful celebrity editions. I really hope it picks up steam, but I'm extremely disappointed...
I am also stunned by these numbers...I thought for sure this would be a summer hit....maybe it was the poor lead in or lack of compablity with the lead in but I really am dissapointed here....This is a great show folks...makes you think keeps you guessing makes you laugh...it's got exactly what shows like The Apperentice, Big Brother and Survivor (got old after the first all-star edition) lacks...You are missing out here people! I thought it was ironic that the person everyone thought was the mole got booted off first....I think whoever is the 11th person they show on the credits is the mole...if you saw the diaries handed out it said an 11...so I'm guessing it means the 11th person in the credits or the person has a total of 11 letters in their first and last name or just one of them. Hopefully results will get better...That Nicole was a big bitch though! Hope the guy from WI wins....seening as he's from my home state!

No **** sherlock....luckily for you we can all read your post is irrevelant....it barely repeates better and during the regular tv season one tree hill repeated better...all it shows is there are more people who watch gossip girl that don't have a life during the summer compared to people who watch one tree hill....and this post was revelant because it revealed that your post wasn't necessary

It's kind of hard to be shocked considering that it's summer and how long it's been off the air.
I just hope they let the show run its 10 week course....Luckily its summer so they probably will unless it drops to 2 million or something....The host is kinda annoying but I can tolerate him...Didn't they only have 10 contests in all past editions?

I wasn't aware that One Tree Hill did much repeating during the regular season since it was a midseason replacement show. In the last month or more of new episodes, though, Gossip Girl drew very similar ratings to One Tree Hill with both in first run episodes.

What it shows is that Gossip Girl is starting to turn its 'at their leasure' online audience into an audience for the TV show when it airs. 3 million viewers for the finale is another hint at that. It would not surprise me at all to see Gossip Girl grow next season because it is clearly catching on with a wider fanbase.
