The new host of "The Mole" used to be the main sports anchor at Channel 5 here in Chicago in the '90's, and the front man for the station during the Bulls' championship runs... Almost everyone (and I mean everyone) in Chicago's sports broadcasting circles - as well as Chicago sports fans - thought he sucked - they hated him. How Jon Kelley keeps getting work is a question I can't possibly answer.... Whoever hosted "The Mole" before... bring the individual back!
Here is the full overnight rating for NBC Stanley Cup Game 5 which ended up running from 8pm- 12:45am eastern. It got a 4.3 rating with an 8 share. So viewership rose as the game went on into the morning.
I'm a bit surprised by The Mole's numbers, but being off the air and other reality series hitting the airwaves may have hurt it.

I disagree. It's rather boring and the comedy is good for hardly anything.

The Mole is DOA. I have to agree that they waited too long to start it up again. 10:00 also is an odd time for it to start. It's more of an 8:00 show. If The Mole can't make it in its 10:00 timeslot, Fear Itself on Thursday should be worried. Initial interest seemed to be higher for The Mole than Fear Itself.

Maybe my constant harping on your slamming of the NHL on NBC's ratings for the Stanley Cup Finals has worked! Well, at least sort of. Not on your losers list, although you still don't even mention the huge year to year growth. I am really looking forward to seeing how Wednesday nights game #6 does in the ratings. And if it goes to game #7 too bad it is scheduled on a Saturday. But I am guessing they will do more than 6 million on Wednesday if it is a close game.
It's only doing well because no Canadian team is involved. Next year, if a Canadian team is in the final expect a 50% drop. If both teams in the final are from Canada expect a greater drop.

Its not DOA,
Give it a chance.
I agree that 10pm is an odd timeslot for it -- it seems like a show, as with The Amazing Race, that would be a family-watching-together type of show. So an 8pm, or even 9pm timslot would make more sense.
And I agree, it's too earlier to called it DOA -- give it a chance and at a minimum enjoy its summer return. I can't believe people jumping off a waterfall for a bag of money was not interesting enough for them...
