Lack of programming options. When you don't make much summer programming, you are all but forced to re-air programming from the past, even if the shows have already been cancelled. CW may be getting some kind of kickback from the record company, though, as The Pussycat Dolls are coming out with a new CD soon and just launched their first single.

Criminal Minds did well last night in terms of viewership. So did TPIR. Last week it was in the 6 millions and all of a sudden its in the mid 7's. Big jump, huh?
I'm not sure what to think about Price is Right. This shows a viewer gain vs. last week of about 1.5million viewers. However, Marc's Daily Column data showed a drop of more than 20% vs. last week. Finals will tell the real story.
First, I never got around to making champinship icons for the winners of Dumont's Seeps Month Predicition game for February & May. So congratulate, again, those winners.

Second, I spoke with Daily Game creator, Douglas, and former PIFC champion tvfan300, last night about breaking up the Daily Game into 4 seperate Seasonal Sessions plus keep the Calendar Year Grand Champion. Here is how it will work.
The 4 Seasons A Points system will determine the champion of each seasonal Session. 5 points for a Gold Medal, 3 points for a Silver Medal and 1 point for the Bronze. Here are the Time frames for each session
Winter - Jan. 1 - End of Feb. Sweeps. (March Sweeps for 2009)
Spring - Day After Feb. Sweeps to end of May Sweeps.
Summer - Day After May Sweeps to the Sunday before the "Official" start of the Fall TV Season.
Fall - The First Day of the TV Season to December 31.
Grand Champion - Person with the MOST Medals after a full calendar Year.
So as I add up the medals for the past sessions, we do have the totals for the Winter 08 Session & Spring 08 Session.
There's Still 14 Hours Left to Enter the July Sweep Prediction Game
Only 14 hours remaining before July Sweep Prediction Game is closed for entries (Friday morning at 7 am). This year, the July Sweep runs from Thursday July 3rd (tonight) to Wednesday July 30th.
Though not as big and sexy as the November, February and May Sweeps, the July Sweep is still an important measure for advertisers on the summer ratings strengths of the networks in local markets.
All you have to do is state your predicted viewer and A18-49 averages for each of the six networks. It's as easy as ABC, 1, 2, 3, Do-re-mi.
So pick up your favourite Sweep broom, head on over to our prediction site at the link below and tell Madison Avenue who's going to win, place and show:

Who the hell was watching TPIR last night? I even forgot it was on, and I love TPIR-LOL. Maybe CBS should consider producing a few more episodes of it for the remainder of the summer if it repeats that good.
I think CRIMINAL MINDS got labeled "CBS crime procedural # 7" by critics and perhaps some viewers when in fact the show is a fairly substantial departure from the Bruckheimer group particularly in the level of intensity and intrigue. Critics had been fairly supportive of the first several procedurals but stopped at CSI NY and perhaps some line was drawn at that point.
They should have no trouble coming up with content for a spinoff. It'll be interesting to see exactly what aspect of the show the producers "duplicate." If I had a say, I would maintain the intense and at times sinister tone but would take a different approach to casting. This group is good but a bit dry at times and restrained, which is authentic but may be cold to some. Perhaps different content will enable different types of characters as well.
